The floor was clean but plenty of insects around coving (this is not an old property so a simple hoover in corners would suffice); 3 of the 4 spotlights in the kitchen didn’t work and although Bray replaced them within 24 hours the maintenance should have spotted this on handover clean); we had to ask for a 4th bowl as only 3 supplied; other than 2cm of washing up liquid, hand wash in bathroom and 1 toilet roll there were few materials provided other than teabags/coffee (5* would indicate ...

Bray kindly provided 2 dishwasher tablets but there was no dishwasher. There is also an issue with the plumbing; perhaps an airlock but every time someone used the bathroom there was a loud noise in the plumbing. Adding to this noise was the domestic noise from the adjoining property; the walls are paper thin and their kitchen was the other side of one of the bedrooms; they started usung the kitchen at 5:30am most weekdays and let their barking dog out into their garden at that time too. This is simply not a 5* property - other than its location. Compare it to Tremay in Rock, for instance, and comparably we would rate Ebrel a 3*. Your comments on your basis for 5* rating would be appreciated.
Thank you for your feedback, as you stated Ebrel is ideally positioned for exploring North Cornwall with parking for 2 cars - most unusual for Port Isaac. We have since your stay changed housekeeper so any issues you noted will not occur again. Washing up liquid, hand wash and toiletries are provided along with teas, coffee, milk and biscuits. Also provided is a collection of cooking essentials such as oil, mixed herbs, stock cubes, salt and pepper. Property Owner
