Two hours before arrival we were notified that the upper deck was out of bounds due to again sub standard maintenance & was deemed unsafe. This out door space was one of the reasons we made the booking. The hot water tank situated in the roof space above the main bedroom was noisy from 6:15 am to 10:45pm. Extreme dust inside the radiator in the main bedroom. Light in the cooker extraction hood not working as were a couple of ceiling lights in the main space downstairs. The large & heavy gate ...

The large & heavy gate needs attention as only my husband could actually lift & open it, bottom hinge is loose as regards it’s fitting into the stone wall. Yes we did like the fact it has a parking space but this is extremely tight if you have a larger car (Audi q5) so when we eventually managed to manoeuvre the car off the drive we never used it again for fear of damaging our car. We appreciate the location but the windows downstairs looked like they had been cleaned with a dirty rag as opposed to upstairs which were pretty acceptable. Negatives aside the location & weather were perfect as were the beds & pillows and yes we would stay in this property again but purchase, if necessary, a parking permit for a better parking space.

“Wonderful property and location!”

Only issues are the outside space for dogs is not ideal and drive is tight for parking. Overall we loved it and would book again.

“Fantastic property, everything we could of asked for and more.”

Great location, with stunning views. Only negative is the parking as tricky to manoeuvre a larger vehicle into the space.

We had the most amazing week at Rockies. It’s a beautifully appointed cottage, a lot of work and thought has clearly been put into the layout and lovely décor, and plentiful supply of kitchen utensils. Perfect location and views, but also so very well laid out. The parking is also a fabulous bonus. We loved the all the space, and the outside seating area was a real treat, we were lucky to have enough sunny dry weather to enjoy it. Absolutely no complaints, and we would love to have the opportunity of staying here again in the future, we were considering two weeks next time if possible…. ????

“We had a lovely time in this cosy cottage.”

The views were fabulous over Port Gaverne & you couldn't get a better sea view. Our only reluctance to re book is the beds were too hard. After a day of walking & lots of Cornish fresh air you look forward to a good night sleep but unfortunately this wasn't the case. I hope this small point, will help make this cottage a perfect place to stay.

On the first floor is a sitting room, twin bed room, shower room and a third king size bedroom with an en-suite bathroom all with those incredible sea views. The property also benefits from parking for one vehicle, enclosed decking and patio; ideal for those family barbeque's while the sun sinks against an unforgettable backdrop.Just down from the cottage is the Port Gaverne Inn, a seventeenth century pub where you can enjoy a proper bar with real ales and fresh seasonal food inspired by the bounty on its doorstep. Or stroll around the coastal path to neighbouring Port Isaac where everyone will be entertained with its shops, cafes, restaurants, galleries and even a pottery. On some Friday evenings, subject to dry weather, you can catch the Fishermen's Friends in full singing voice on The Platt.
