  • “Fantastic property, everything we could of asked for and more.”

    Great location, with stunning views.

Great location, with stunning views. Only negative is the parking as tricky to manoeuvre a larger vehicle into the space.

The property

Rockies is a detached holiday cottage in a unique and enviable position nestled in the Cliffside overlooking the stunning cove of Port Gaverne in North Cornwall. With outstanding views over the sheltered cove, surrounding cliffs and far out to sea, this is a quintessential seaside holiday home that sleeps 6 guests in 3 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms. Immaculately presented and sympathetically furnished with colourful paintwork, natural floors of slate and wood and traditional cottage beams, you'll never want to leave! Rockies has a bright welcoming open plan kitchen/diner/family room and a double bedroom on the ground floor both with sea views. On the first floor is a sitting room, twin bed room, shower room and a third king size bedroom with an en-suite bathroom all with those incredible sea views. The property also benefits from parking for one vehicle, enclosed decking and patio; ideal for those family barbeque's while the sun sinks against an unforgettable backdrop.Just down from the cottage is the Port Gaverne Inn, a seventeenth century pub where you can enjoy a proper bar with real ales and fresh seasonal food inspired by the bounty on its doorstep. Or stroll around the coastal path to neighbouring Port Isaac where everyone will be entertained with its shops, cafes, restaurants, galleries and even a pottery. On some Friday evenings, subject to dry weather, you can catch the Fishermen's Friends in full singing voice on The Platt. Wander down to the cove and take the coastal path in the other direction, you will be rewarded with sightings of various seabirds and plenty of spots for swimming off the rocks or simply to sit and drink in the spectacular scenery.Ground Floor: Open plan Kitchen/Diner/Family room, sea views Bedroom 1: Double bed, sea views First Floor: Sitting room, sea views Bedroom 2: Twin beds (3ft), sea views Bedroom 3: King size bed (5ft) en suite bath/WC, sea views Shower room/WC Pets by arrangement

About the location

Polzeath 6 miles; Padstow 9 miles

Port Isaac; one of the true Cornish treasures. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. Only ten minutes drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike. There is ample parking at the top of the village.
