    Accommodation was clean on arrival. The accommodation is however in need of some maintenance, the light above the entrance door didn’t work, there was a blown bulb in the downstairs bathroom and also in the reading lamp in the lounge. The door handle for the patio door was broken and the door could not be opened. The drop down blind for the patio door could not be lowered because the string had numerous knots and repairs from previous breaks. The freezer compartment in the fridge was unusable at it was full of ice and obviously had not been defrosted in some time. Finally a minor quibble, the kitchen knives were blunt and next to useless for even basic tasks such as chopping an onion. I did ring John Bray and informed them of these faults and a maintenance man did come out and rectify the internal lights and the patio door. I know they are relatively minor things but this property is expensive to rent and there is a 7 and a half hour window from when the previous occupants leave at 9am until the next occupants arrive at 4:30pm. When the cleaners are in during this time the accommodation should be checked for minor faults and be rectified.

Beachside, as the name suggests is a self catering holiday home, well positioned for the beach, restaurants and local amenities in Polzeath on the North Cornwall Coast behind the Waterfront restaurant. Sleeping up to 5 guests in 3 compact sized bedrooms making it the ideal base for a small family. This holiday home which has a glimpse of the beach; that can be enjoyed from the first floor balcony is tucked behind the thoroughfare of this vibrant area, yet within less than a minute from the ever popular surfing beach of Polzeath. Make the most of the morning sunshine with coffee and breakfast on the sun balcony leading off the open plan kitchen, lounge diner whilst listening to the sounds of the seaside. The sociable first floor lends itself for family meals and nights in playing board games or watching a favourite film. All three bedrooms are located on the ground floor that share two small shower rooms with access out into the enclosed courtyard. Just a stones throw from Beachside, Polzeath beach is a blue flag beach known for its lively surf and golden sands linked by easy coastal walks to Daymer Bay and Rock. The village of Polzeath has a vibrant scene of shops, an art gallery, newsagents and a handful of reputable restaurants and cafes all easily accessible from the property. The Point at Polzeath is also just up the hill with a 18 hole golf course, health club and restuarant where you can enjoy amazing views over the course and out to sea.
