“Many thanks for sending this email and apologies for taking so long to respond.”
We have been very long standing Cornish (Trebetherick), holidaymakers and my parents and subsequently my family have rented a large number of houses from John Bray and directly from owners over the past 50 or more years. We spent many happy years at Brae House, Doom Bar House, Sandpipers, Stepper, Thalassa, Sandy Lodge and many others. We love Greenaway Heights. It is a fabulous house and works really well for our family..old and young!! It is in a perfect location, we love Greenaway beach, and has fabulous views, but unlike many other houses we have rented, it also wonderfully has a fantastic sheltered garden and lovely sun trap at the back. Sadly we were not able to take advantage of it this year as the weather in our week (last week in June) was atrocious! I think it rained nearly every day and gale force winds and 12 degrees! Therefore the joy of having such a lovely, comfortable, spacious and perfect house with an Aga, more than made up for the weather! The Aga was a saving grace and SO much appreciated! We booked the same week last year and the weather was awful too, so we are now rethinking and have not decided whether we will maybe try and swap our week at Greenaway Heights for a September week.
We would love you to let the owners know how much we appreciate their lovely house, there is nothing not to like about it and we feel hugely lucky to be able to enjoy such a stunning and special home. It has been transformed over the years and I remember my brother renting it some 20 years ago and it looked very different then! It is a joy to stay somewhere that you would happily live and that is so beautifully decorated, but also functional and practical, and comfortable. There is no question that of all the houses we have stayed in it is absolutely the best.
So, a long winded response to say we absolutely love Greenaway Heights and yes please we would love to return next year, but we may ask about swapping the dates? Our Grandson is only 18 months old so while we can avoid school holidays we will!
Very many thanks.
