The property

Seals Cove offers breath-taking views over Polzeath beach and out to sea, occupying a prime location within easy walking distance of all the facilities this sea side village has to offer. Nestled in above the South West Coastal Path, you can wake up to the sound of the waves arching and crashing into the bay. With the top garden overlooking the sea and lower terrace sheltered from the wind, as the name suggests you can spend your time here relaxing outside and look out for glimpses of those cheeky seals! Inside, Seals Cove is tastefully decorated and offers an open plan kitchen diner with up to date cooking facilities, leading on to the conservatory at the front. Slide open the doors and take your early morning cup of tea in there in the morning and gaze out to sea in a comfortable chair for that magical peaceful moment with only the gulls up, soaring across the sky. After you have filled your day with the delights of the coast in surfing, trotting down the path to the rock pools of Greenaway or simply sauntering down to the beach to soak up the rays you can return to Seals Cove and freshen up in the newly installed bathroom which offers modern services with a walk in shower. The lounge features a beautiful teal and grey colour scheme with sophisticated coastal nuances, making it inviting and comforting in the evenings, complete with squashy sofa to sink into after a long day and electric fire to keep you toasty. When night time comes, the bedroom arrangements give a welcoming space to unwind; the master includes a double bed and basin and another cosy room also features a double bed. Little ones will love the adventure of settling into their own snug space in the third bedroom which has a childrens low set of bunk beds. Either take your own or hire a wetsuit and board and enjoy frolicking in the waves that Polzeath is famous for, you can even check the surf from the comfort of the garden at Seals Cove! Little ones can make sandcastles to their heart’s content on the beach or why not venture along the coastal path to Daymer Bay where the gentle waves lap the shallow sandy beach, making it perfect for small sandy toes to paddle in. On your way back, grab a cheeky Cornish lunch at the Mowhay café in Trebetherick or fill your fridge with delectable supplies from Trebetherick Stores. All too conveniently, the recently refurbished Oyster Catcher pub lies further up the hill from Seals Cove meaning you can leave the car at the house and walk there for a light Cornish tipple or family feast in the evening. To expand your horizons, why not head north and trek the coastal path to the historic Rumps headland which leads on to the smaller tidal coves of Carnweather, Epphaven and Lundy Bay. Seals Cove is an ideal location to be within walking distance of all the conveniences of Polzeath and Trebetherick, whilst still being a hop, skip and a jump from the beach. About the location

POLZEATH

Wadebridge 7.5 miles; Padstow 16 miles.

The seaside village of Polzeath boasts a sandy beach, which is bordered by rock pools and is acclaimed to be one of the best surfing beaches in the country. Polzeath itself has a number of small shops, cafes and restaurants, and the South West Coast Path, a 630-mile route, runs through the village. Just over seven miles away is the popular market town of Wadebridge, which is set alongside the River Camel and offers an array of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as North Cornwall's only family-owned cinema. There’s wonderful countryside in the area, with the renowned Camel Trail passing through the town, and the nearby town of Padstow, with its harbour, pastel-washed medieval houses and celebrated restaurants is well worth exploring. Within driving distance is the UK surfing capital of Newquay, with over 11 miles of golden sandy beaches. Polzeath is an excellent base for exploring this part of Cornwall.

Please note the dimensions of the bunk bed as it may not be suitable for adults: Length 1.9m x Width 90cm x Height of top bunk 1.06m, lower bunk at ground level.
