“Lovely property with everything you need, it was clean and comfortable.”

The house and garden have been well maintained and looked after. The home was more than equipped, especially the kitchen, just like a home from home. Polzeath beach was about 5 min drive and is beautiful. I would definitely come back here and would recommend this property.

The property

Bramble Park is a welcoming, charming detached home with a large garden boasting views across farmland, located just a 5 minutes drive from the surfer paradise of Polzeath and with the quieter bays of Port Quin and Lundy Bay on your doorstep. On your coastal retreat you can escape from the world, whilst enjoying the convenience of seaside village life nearby. With comfortable living arrangements downstairs and a ground floor annexe bedroom with adjacent shower room, Bramble Park sleeps 6-8 guests across 4 bedrooms and is ideal for multigenerational self catering stays with families or friends (including four legged companions!) Just off from the homely, appealing entrance, the well-equipped kitchen has a central island and is a warm, social room with the dining area a great place to catch up together after a day out, perhaps rambling the local coastal path or taking the family to rock-pool at nearby Greenaway. Kick off your shoes and relax in the sunlit, pretty living room which offers plenty of seating with inviting sink-in sofas, made for cosy evening lounging. On chillier days, why not wrap up and whizz down to catch the view of the stunning sunsets at Polzeath then return ‘home’; you’ll have the perfect excuse to light a roaring fire in the wood burner, snuggle up and feel all toasty. When nightfall comes, the relaxing bedrooms are a serene place to recharge. Upstairs, the master bedroom overlooks the fields at the front of the house and comes complete with an ensuite shower room. A further light and airy double bedroom and bunk bedroom, for younger children, occupy this floor, along with a modern family bathroom. Sea glimpses can be seen from upstairs to remind you it is not far away and to tempt you out to the coast in the morning. Just outside the lounge patio doors downstairs, a handy annexe provides a king bedroom with adjoining shower room. Whether useful for grandparents, friends or just so the family can have their own space, this annexe bedroom provides a delightful sanctuary for those who need peace at night time or require ground floor access. This annexe space also houses a convenient utility area so that all your day to day washing and drying can be kept out of sight and mind while you take a break from it in the main house or out in the garden. The children can play to their hearts content on the large lawn while adults relax on the terrace, overlooking their antics and taking in the views across the fields beyond. Tucked around the corner, a summer house provides a private nook just beckoning for you to take time for yourself, perhaps curling up with a book and large cup of Cornish tea for a lazy afternoon of escape. This private, homely paradise invites you to bring your dogs to join you on holiday, no doubt they will enjoy the garden just as much as the children (if they have any energy left in their little legs after their fun at the beach!) While local Polzeath is an exciting place for all the family to try their hand (or feet…) at surfing, to grab a bite to eat or set up camp for the day on the vast expanse of sand, Bramble Park’s location makes it ideal for further exploration too. The sheltered inlet of Port Quin lies a few miles away to the north and makes for a peaceful spot for walking the coast or exploring the protected coves of Epphaven and Lundy Bay at low tide. For the keen walker when the lanes are quieter out of season, you can even trek to Epphaven from Bramble Park to top yourself up with a healthy dose of sea air and take in the glorious views. Take your binoculars to spot an array of birds and wildlife as the coastline sweeps westwards towards Pentire Point, taking in all the flora and fauna that adorn this rugged patch of the coastline. For a little retail therapy, why not hop across on the Black Tor foot ferry to picturesque harbour town of Padstow from Rock (less than 5 miles from this holiday home) where you can also feast in the delights of the talented local chefs. Perhaps try a seafood delicacy at the eponymous Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant or treat yourself to an incredible experience at the Michelin starred Paul Ainsworth at No.6. Many more temptations lie here too for foodie guests at Rojano's restaurant, Cherrytrees cafe (just say yes to their wonderful cakes) with edible souvenirs aplenty at Stein's deli. A great day out for all the family or couples, you can then walk off the indulgences with a potter around the historic lanes, up to view Prideaux Place and deer park opposite or out on the coastal path to see the mouth of the estuary from the other side. Whether you are geared up for an adventure holiday full of activities such as paddleboarding and kayaking or you prefer to slow down and reconnect with the delights of this beautiful area, Bramble Park offers the comfort and convenience from which to do so.
