“Pretty cottage over all excellent, clean and well equiped, great position, easy access to village and Nathan Outlaws.”

Parking space in front for one car. We able to get V60 volvo estate into space. Nice little garden with dining space and fire pit was raining during our trip so did not use it. Dog friendly well placed to access coastal path. Missing toilet seat cover and sink mirror/ shaver socket hummed couldn't work out how to turn it off. Minor issues though a lovely stay

Hello thank you so much for your lovely feedback and so glad you had a great time. Thanks for letting us know about the toilet seat - we had no idea it was missing! We’ll get that sorted straight away and we are there in a couple of weeks so we’ll get the shaver socket sorted. Hope you come back to Port Isaac very soon. Louise Property Owner

The property

This delightful three-bedroom home, Blue Lobster Cottage, is situated in the heart of Port Isaac, a charming fishing community in Cornwall. The cottage is appropriate for a seascape and can accommodate up to six guests. It has sea views, is close to the beach and a variety of local village amenities and tasteful features, coastal decor, cutting-edge appliances, outdoor plug socket at the front for use to electric cars and a private patio retreat area. Step in through the front door and instantly feel at home, drop your bags and follow the original Victorian tiles to the kitchen to put the kettle on and pop your bottle of bubbly into the wine fridge for later! Take advantage of this well-equipped, inviting room, which includes everything you'll need for a self-catering stay, a six-seat dining table, ideal for cooking up a feast after a day of exploration. In winter months this will be the hub of the home as everyone can sit round together at the table while the chef of the group enjoys the modern facilities. For an outside gathering, step down out the back door to the back patio which has outdoor furniture and a fire pit; here, you can enjoy a glass of wine while soaking up the Cornish sunshine. Sheltered from the winds and attractively landscaped with different levels of shallow steps, the outside area features old railway sleepers, slate-shale underfoot and even a palm tree for that true holiday feel. This flows through to an external utility room which comes with handy facilities so you can make your packing lighter. When the chill comes in, unwind in the beautifully styled sitting room which features a large bay window to let the light flood in and coastal artwork. After all that sea air, retire upstairs to the three bedrooms, all of which offer plenty of storage and are furnished to a high standard with quality soft furnishings to compliment the nautical wallpapers. A shower room on the same level as the bedrooms completes the house, making it both practical with underfloor heating to warm your feet and stylish in appearance. You can walk into the village of Port Isaac and its selection of seaside eateries and stores, which includes Fresh from The Sea, The Old School Restaurant, Outlaw's Fish Kitchen and their sister restaurant Outlaw's New Road which are Two Michelin star restaurants and a neighbourhood Co-op. Along the way, you'll visit Portwenn View, a viewing platform perched above the Cornish coast and take in all the focal points from the Doc Martin series. Potter down the picturesque lanes of the village via the local boutique shops to the harbour beach, or take the nearby hill down to the small bay of Port Gaverne to dip your toes in the water. Nearby at St. Endellion, Giant Slip and Slide Cornwall is a thrilling attraction for the children while Doyden Castle near Port Quin offers an opportunity for hiking and offers cliffside vistas. In the bay of Port Quin you can grab your snorkel and explore the bay or book a kayak to look further around the cliffs. North of Port Isaac takes you to Tintagel where you can take the steps up to the old castle ruins or inland, walk through St. Nectan's Glen to see the stunning waterfall. Further south, when driving down to the surfing beach of Polzeath, be sure to stop at the Lead Mines car park and walk to The Rumps for expansive views of the Camel estuary. The National Lobster Hatchery, where you can adopt and track a lobster and Padstow Museum are both easily accessible by car or via the foot ferry from Rock, making them ideal stops for visitors. You can also bring your bicycle and follow the designated path across the Camel Trail. Stay at Blue Lobster Cottage and take advantage of your holiday in Cornwall.
