    Loved the AGA, felt like home. Pillows were a little hard but luckily I took my own. Don't ferret in the sitting room cupboards they are a bit untidy, needs a look at! Great showers, large bathroom. Lovely garden with fab views.

Great showers, large bathroom. Lovely garden with fab views. We really enjoyed our stay - only one little negative - parking in front of the house is very, very steep. It didn't really bother us. If I can park a Landrover anyone can! Would def would go again.

The property

Fronthill House is an attractive slate hung, beautifully presented house retaining many of its original features. A superb self-catering holiday house sleeping 6 guests with 2 bathrooms in Port Isaac's popular village where families can relax and enjoy their surroundings, being only a couple of minutes walk from the pretty, bustling working fishing harbour, it's galleries, restaurants and pub. The open plan kitchen/dining room and sitting room is a spacious light filled area with wooden floorboards in the sitting room area and classic big slate slabs in the dining room. The glass vaulted ceiling in the kitchen is a lovely architectural feature, with a cosy 4-oven AGA in racing green and a Belfast sink, which all serve to create a homely environment for preparing family meals and picnics for the beach. The bedrooms benefit from warm wooden floorboards and are all colourfully furnished. On the first floor is the master bedroom with a king size bed and sea views, a twin bedroom overlooking the rear garden and a family bathroom/wet room. The second floor has a double bedroom and a dressing area.Fronthill House has the benefit of parking for one vehicle only and a good-sized garden with a wonderful terrace surrounded by rosemary, lavender and pots of pretty flowers. Families will love this sheltered outdoor eating area and the garden has fantastic sea views and is complete with patio furniture. Spend busy days browsing Port Isaac's many shops and galleries and watching the beach come to life when the fishermen bring in their daily catch of crab or lobster. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. Only ten minutes drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike. There is ample parking at the top of the village.
