    “The front door was a bit of an issue as it has swollen since being fitted and it was really difficult opening and closing it and the join between the stairs carpet and living room floor was unstuck but apart from these small issues, it was a great week although we had to come home on Monday 3rd for work reasons so missed over a quarter of our holiday.”

From the doorstep of Penreal, stay within walking distance of the beautiful fishing village and a network of scenic coast paths surrounding this beautiful corner of Cornwall. Port Isaac has a superb selection of local shops, restaurants, pubs and cafe's to explore, make sure you take a bag as you won't leave there empty handed. If you are a fan of the TV series Doc Martin, take a wander through the narrow streets of Port Isaac where I am sure you will notice some familiar backgrounds, including a short stroll to the house of Doc Martin on Roscarrock Hill. Penreal is also just a just a short drive away from the beautiful beaches of Rock, Daymer Bay and Polzeath. Polzeath being a popular surfing haven while Rock offers a range of water sports including sailing, water skiing and sea safaris. Daymer Bay makes for a great family day out with golden sands, perfect for sandcastle building and calm waters for bathing. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. Only ten minutes drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike. There is ample parking at the top of the village.
