The property

Stowaway is a stylish, spacious ground floor apartment situated on the outskirts of the old part of the village offering sea views and a glimpse of the harbour. Perfectly suited for a couple to get away from it all and have a romantic break, although there is room to bring up to two children. Stowaway will sleep 3-4 in 2 bedrooms with 1 bathroom and it has the added benefit of a patio and allocated parking for two cars. A lovely self-catering base on the north Cornwall coast, with just a five-minute walk to Port Isaac's vibrant harbour side and the adjacent sheltered cove of Port Gaverne.Stowaway is beautifully and tastefully furnished with lovely wooden floorboards and lots of light flooding into the open plan sitting room/ dining room and kitchen. The kitchen sink looks out to sea so time in the kitchen will never be a chore, and may inspire you to try your hand at pan frying some local mackerel or preparing some of Port Isaac's freshly landed crab or lobster. There is a charming wrought iron king sized bedstead in the main bedroom and a single bed with a hideaway underneath in the smaller room. The bathroom/wet room is modern, light and practical. With the delights of Port Isaac and Port Gaverne on the doorstep you may never need to travel further afield; explore the harbour and coastal paths, stroll around the pretty village, dip into the shops and galleries and dine out at the many restaurants, cafes and pub. If you feel like a change then why not head 8 miles up the coast to visit nearby Trebarwith Strand with its vast cliffs, enticing caves, surfing waves and fascinating rock pools over almost a half mile stretch of golden sand at low tide. The iconic slate stack that stands proudly a quarter of a mile offshore is called Gull Rock; an impressive natural landmark in this coastal landscape.Accommodation: Open plan Sitting/Dining Kitchen with sea views from the kitchen, Bedroom 1: King size bed (5ft), Bedroom 2: Single Bed with hideaway, Bathroom/Wet Room/WC Sorry No Pets.

About the location

PORT ISAAC

Polzeath 6 miles; Padstow 9 miles

Port Isaac; one of the true Cornish treasures. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. Only ten minutes drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike. There is ample parking at the top of the village.
