    “Beds weren't very comfortable and hidden security deposit left a bad feeling about the whole thing.”

    If you are going to charge such a large security deposit then have that upfront in the listing not as a hidden cost when you go to pay the balance of the cost of the stay

    Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments. A Good Housekeeping Bond will be taken with each booking in case of any damage that may accidentally occur during the stay and will be returned to the guest on departure unless damage has occurred. The owner has also taken your comment regarding the beds into consideration and has replaced one mattress and they have ordered a new King size bed for the main bedroom. The house will also be decorated throughout with some replacement furniture during the winter months of 2021 to 2022. The property

Upper Deck is a beautifully presented, light and airy maisonette located just a couple of minutes’ walk from Port Isaac's picturesque fishing harbour on the North Cornwall coast. Offering comfortable accommodation over two floors and with dramatic sea or harbour views from all the rooms, Upper Deck is easily accessible and benefits from parking for 2 cars at the property. Sleeping 4 people in 2 bedrooms, it is the perfect holiday getaway for couples or a small family. Entering into the smart kitchen; glossy and sleek, this is a pleasant place to either get creative with excellent local ingredients or equally just relax with a pasty from the local bakery. Enjoy those superb views from the large windows of the sitting room or gather around the wood-burning stove on a cooler spring evening. You will love the exposed beams and vaulted ceilings of the ensuite bedrooms, which add great character to this restful, tastefully decorated space and where from all angles the sea views are quite amazing. Just a short walk will bring you downhill to the delights of the harbour, with unusual gift shops, great cafes and a characterful pub. Don't miss a wander on the beach itself and, at low tide, explore the rock pools where fishermen used to keep their lobster pots. A pleasant amble along Overcliff towards Port Gaverne has glorious views out to sea and along the coast; dip down the hill to the beach for a lovely swim, canoe or paddle-board. Pack a picnic for a day out hiking on the coast path, a visit to Tintagel castle or a trip to Boscastle, another beautiful old harbour village. Finish off your day with a listen to the famous Fishermen's Friends, the local sea shanty singers, a classic and rousing Port Isaac experience.Accommodation: External steps to first floor and front door. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. Only ten minutes drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike. There is ample parking at the top of the village.
