“Beautiful cottage but would really benefit from an en suite, details say it has 2 bathrooms so was under the impression they would be upstairs.”

There’s only one bathroom upstairs and a downstairs toilet so slightly miss leading in my opinion. Wet room downstairs is amazing we loved that. We could never park near the cottage either , had to park and walk about 10-15 minutes every time.

“We really enjoyed our stay and thought the property was beautiful, thank you.”

Very modern with lovely lighting on the stairs that was much appreciated at night. A short, steep walk to the harbour made it easy to access everything without using a car. There is no parking but we were able to park close to the house every time we returned to the house so we didn’t find it a problem. It did take us a while to figure out the hob in the kitchen as it’s a little more high tech than we are! It might be nice to have instructions for those of us who are technically challenged. We were very pleased with our stay and would certainly return if we have the opportunity. A comfortable, stylish and modern home. Thank you

Close to town. Clean. Lounge a bit small for us. Probably not an issue in warmer days. Could do with another bathroom

“Nohens is a very stylish house with excellent lighting and a lovely garden.”

The kitchen is well equipped. However, there isn't a comfortable chair or seat in the house. We were a couple and ended up bringing a garden chair into the lounge. The 2 sofas are very small, low backed and impossible to sit on for any time. The two leather armchairs are very firm and low backed. The benches in the kitchen are hard and uncomfortable. We had wonderful weather and sat outside on the garden seats most of the time. The mattresses are OK, but the beds squeak badly even when turning over. There are no instructions regarding the heating controls and no thermostat. Washing machine in garden shed. Parking near the property was an issue.

“Good size house, TV’s very good standard, excellent kitchen.”

Comfortable and good size beds. For the expectations of 8 visitors only one proper bathroom is inadequate. Location brilliant but on-street parking a pain. On balance for us a very good property a couple of downsides mentioned above.

Nohens is tucked away on a quiet street, about 500 yards above the bustling harbour of Padstow on Cornwall’s north coast. A stunning period house recently transformed by the owner into a super stylish and contemporary home over three floors, perfect for friends or family looking for a spacious and comfortable stay in this highly desirable destination. Five steps lead up to small paved area and entrance into a lovely modern hallway with oak floors and sweeping glazed staircase. A comfy living room is a place to relax, furnished with modern soft settee and chairs, a wall mounted Smart TV and lovely bay window allowing light to flood the room. The hallway leads through into the light and airy open-plan kitchen/diner. Gloss white units, stone worktops and smart kitchen appliances will provide ample space and opportunity to rustle up family meals. Relax on the sofa, a wall mounted Smart TV allows you to catch up with your favourite shows whilst enjoying your morning coffee at the breakfast bar. Patio doors lead out into a suntrap, whitewashed courtyard garden. Coastal planters and a patio table and chairs making this a lovely spot to enjoy alfresco meals. A ground floor wet room with drench shower is great to dive into after a day swimming or surfing, and there is also a ground floor cloakroom. Padstow sits on the sandy estuary of the River Camel and is close to many magnificent beaches that can be reached in ten minutes from the harbour. The village of Rock is a trip across the estuary by ferry, made famous for its popularity with the rich and famous, often referred to as the St Tropez of Cornwall and a haven for watersports of all kind. Whether you are coming to enjoy the beautiful soft sands and azure waters of this alluring destination, a fine dining meal in one of the many excellent restaurants or simply relax and unwind in one of the most desirable Cornish destinations, a stay at Nohens is a perfect choice. Padstow is situated at the head of the Camel Cycle Trail and is a fantastic base for exploring the South West Coastal Path which opens up routes to beautiful Cornish countryside. This delightful fishing port is surrounded by sandy beaches and offers many opportunities to taste the locally sourced produce in celebrity owned establishments. Padstow has something for everyone with watersports, walking, cycling and fishing, you can even take a trip on a local fisherman’s boat! The excellent surfing beaches of Harlyn and Constantine are ideal for safe family fun, and Constantine Bay is also home to a golf course, just a few miles away, while a passenger ferry across the river from Padstow to Rock takes you to the beach at Daymer Bay. Just around the corner toward Pentire Head is the surfing paradise at Polzeath, and when the beach no longer calls, there’s a golf course nearby, several stately homes and gardens to visit.
