“Ideal location for shops, walks and beach ,the secure garden was ideal for my small dog.”

The property was warm and comfortable 2 lovely new en suite bathrooms and all needs catered for , I would definitely book this property again, thank you.

“The bath was un useable due to a crack, which with 4 young children was very difficult especially after being on the beach.”

All garden furniture had been stored in the house limiting living space. No plastic cups or cutlery for the children. Lovely property & location but the above re Bath definitely needs sorting as very dangerous with young children.

“Arrived at the property at 16:45!”

to find there was no power sockets working ie no kettle,fridge/freezer or television.Not what we was expecting after a five hour journey,called John Brays rock office for advice only to discover I was actually speaking to a gentleman in a office in Chester who worked for Sykes holidays and not very helpful.At this point we was not very happy so we decided to call the property maintenance number where we got a very helpful gentleman who advised us where the electrical fuse box was located so we could reset the tripped mains.We never got a follow up call from John Bray holidays to see if all was alright.Cleanliness was poor even though you have taken extra time from your customers.

“The link-attached beds on the top floor are very noisy and even with one regular sized lady they creaked loudly every time she turned over in the night - and the bedroom is open to the stairs so very noticeable.”

Also, seems odd having bunk beds in the single room when you can only use the bottom bunk which, let's face it, is the short straw. Otherwise it's a great place, have stayed twice now. What would be really fab though is a Nespresso coffee machine as I have to bring my own - unless I stay at Little Strand :)

“We had a great stay at Lowenna Manor 7.”

The house is lovely and well equipped. The house is clean and well looked after too. Easy to get to the beach and it feels very safe and peaceful. The only negative is the bed on the top floor is quite uncomfortable and can move when you get in it. We left some items at the house and Zoe from the Rock branch was so helpful in getting it back to us. Thank you!

“Kitchen could be better equipped, as we eat in each evening due to the pandemic.”

We had to buy a tin opener as the one in the property did not work. No small glasses as examples . But otherwise a lovely property, would go again .

The property

Lowenna Manor 7 is a contemporary holiday home that occupies a superb position in the centre of Rock village on the North Cornwall coast. Part of the Lowenna Manor collection, guests not only have the use of a private, enclosed garden area to the front of the holiday home, the communal grounds that surrounds the complex is also accessible. This self-catering 3-storey property comprises of three delightful bedrooms split over the first floor and second floor mezzanine level providing plenty of room for couples sharing or a small family wishing to explore the coast. Parking for two cars to the rear of the property. A perfect base for all seasons equipped with; a sunny garden and patio area, located very close to some of the best beaches on the Cornish coast and bright, fresh interiors. Step inside the entrance door into the open plan living space comprising of; a well equipped kitchen, comfortable bijoux living area and dining space with access out onto the patio and garden area through the patio doors. The double bedroom is located on the first floor, a beautifully furnished bedroom with a bay window giving the feel of space with the benefit of a stylish shower ensuite and a bunk room with the bottom bunk made up along with a separate family bathroom. The mezzanine level on the second floor has been converted to a spacious bedroom equipped with a dressing table and superking zip and link bed for flexibility with an en-suite shower room. Lowenna Manor is in a fantastic position to access the delights of the North Cornwall coast. Within easy walking distance are; grocers, butcher, baker fishmonger and delicatessen plus some local shops for those who enjoy a bit of retail therapy. Take a stroll down onto Porthilly beach, a picturesque cove popular with walkers that leads upriver past farmed oyster and mussel beds or over to the sailing club and Rock beach beyond. At low tide, stroll alongside the Camel Estuary to Rock beach where there is a choice of local shops, restaurants and a café for a bite to eat or for a change of scenery, take the ferry boat ride to Padstow for a further selection of; gourmet restaurants and shops. With so many activities and water sports to choose from, it is no wonder that Rock is such a popular place to holiday and that visitors return year after year. Rock is a desirable and much sought after coastal village located on the north eastern bank of the River Camel opposite the famous harbour town of Padstow which is easily reached by a regular ferry service. The summer home of royalty and celebrities offering top class restaurants and quality shops, the real draw is the array of watersports including sailing, water skiing, windsurfing and angling. Continuing on a sporting theme, the golf course at nearby St Enodoc is considered to be one of the best in the country. With an abundance of world class beaches all within a short radius it is easy to see why Rock holds its popularity.
