    “The house was infested with ants, I had to go and specially by loads of ant powder to try and get rid of them.”

    You couldn’t leave any food out on the work surfaces and had to be extra careful round the house, it wasn’t pleasant in the property knowing ants were in the property, I couldn’t fully relax. We did speak to John bray and someone did come and put extra ant deterrents outside but it didn’t get rid of them. I wouldn’t book this property again.

Lowenna Manor is a conversion into terraced houses of a former manor house in the center of Rock.  Set within its own grounds each house has their own gardens but benefit from the large open spaces beyond and around that are communal to all the properties.  With footpaths to two sides, one leading to the Golf course and onto Rock beach the ferry, and further to Brea Hill and Daymer Bay, the other going to the Newsagent, Bakery, Butcher, Fish monger and shops, it is set in a location that needs very little car travel around the village.  Perfect to switch off from the constant pressure of being car bound!

The property

With contemporary decor and comfortable furnishings, Lowenna Manor 9 is an attractive self-catering house, perfect for holidays. With a private garden, the property also has the advantage of extra, large communal grounds and two private parking spaces. The original Manor had a full conversion from a hotel into separate, terraced houses situated off the Rock road within walking distance to the village shops and to the footpath that takes you down to Porthilly Cove and Rock beach beyond. A great central location from which to explore the highlights of North Cornwall, Lowenna Manor 9 sleeps 5 people in 4 light, fresh bedrooms. The open plan lounge/diner is a lovely space to relax in after a busy day on the beach. On the light, airy first floor the master bedroom has a flexible superking bed that can be un-linked to make twin beds and doors leading out onto to a sunny balcony. A single room is next door and both rooms share a family bathroom. Two bedrooms on the top floor offer single beds and shared use of a shower room. Warm up in the utility room shower after an exciting sail on the Camel Estuary, which offers extra storage space for beach items, then relax in the pretty, enclosed garden where you can eat out on a warm day.Holidaying in North Cornwall offers so much to do and this area of Rock is fantastically central and convenient. Simply walk up the road for all the grocery shops, across the road for your newspaper; downhill on the footpath to access Rock beach with all its restaurants, shops, plus the sailing club and water ski school. Pack up your beach kit and saunter down the golf course private lane to Brea Hill and Daymer Bay; here you can picnic in the dunes and swim at this idyllic family beach. Padstow 1.5 miles via ferry; Polzeath 2.8 miles; Wadebridge 6.2 miles.

Rock is a desirable and much sought after coastal village located on the north eastern bank of the River Camel opposite the famous harbour town of Padstow which is easily reached by a regular ferry service. The summer home of royalty and celebrities offering top class restaurants and quality shops, the real draw is the array of watersports including sailing, water skiing, windsurfing and angling. Continuing on a sporting theme, the golf course at nearby St Enodoc is considered to be one of the best in the country. With an abundance of world class beaches all within a short radius it is easy to see why Rock holds its popularity.
