    “This is a lovely and relaxing house and very well equipped.”

    I've stayed at this property a number of times and was disappointed on this occasion to find that the cleanliness was lacking, there were large cobwebs in the windows, dust along the skirting boards, a sticky residue on the kitchen tap, there were crumbs inside the fridge and one bin hadn't been emptied. Externally the table hadn't been cleaned and there were cobwebs and daddy long legs on every window. I note that a review for another property hired also in October quotes similar issues with ...

Externally the table hadn't been cleaned and there were cobwebs and daddy long legs on every window. I note that a review for another property hired also in October quotes similar issues with cleanliness, I wonder if the cleaning company have changed or are short-staffed, but for a premium destination and property, I would expect more. There were a few maintenance points I raised also.

We accept that the standard of cleanliness may have not quite met the standards on this single occasion, the same experienced Housekeeper has cleaned the property every change-over for the past 10 years without complaint. All issues referred to have now been been addressed, and furthermore the property is undergoing a renovation and redecoration this coming winter, in readiness for 2022 lettings.' Property Owner

The property

Trerokken provides both space and privacy, making it ideal for a relaxing holiday with friends or family. This modern, luxurious holiday house is stylishly furnished and equipped to a high standard and is within easy walking distance to all the local amenities in and around Rock, on the North Cornwall coast. The house sleeps 10 guests, with one of the bedrooms located in the comfortable pool house. In addition to this there is a sofa bed in the pool house which can also be used. This dog-friendly holiday home has a large south facing enclosed garden ideal for playing games, with recently refurbished decked areas and new patio furniture. Children and grown ups alike will love the added attraction of a heated swimming pool (available from the 26th of May to 21st of September). There is also a garage for storing your bikes, or sailing equipment and ample parking for cars. The wonderful, open plan ground floor is perfect for long sociable family meals in bright open plan kitchen diner c/w new bespoke large dining table; fold back the patio doors on balmy afternoons to dine alfesco on the well furnished sunny terrace. As the evening cools the wood burner in the comfortable living room will keep the whole family warm and cosy at any time of year. There is a ground floor bedroom (twin beds) with patio doors leading onto a secluded terrace, and the adjacent wet room (c/w shower, basin, and W.C.) makes this ideal for elderly relatives or extra family members. Upstairs there is the master bedroom (king-size double bed) with an ensuite shower room, and balcony overlooking the pretty garden. Two further bedrooms (one x king-size, one x twin bed), both sharing a large family bathroom (c/w bath and separate shower, basin, and W.C.). The adjacent, recently refurbished and redecorated, pool house accommodates further guests in a 5th bedroom (new king-size double bed)), wet room (c/w shower, basin, W.C.), plus adjoining kitchen/diner and sitting room including a sofa bed (bed linen not supplied). Take the short ferry ride over to Padstow, or stay local with plenty of restaurants, shops and cafes to choose from in Rock. Try your hand at sailing, SUP or water-skiing at the Camel Ski School. The beach and dunes along the Camel estuary offer stunning views and ideal dog walking paths, linking up with the coastal footpaths around to the bathing surfing beach at Polzeath. Children and families enjoy the calm bathing waters at near by Daymer Bay, with plenty of rock pools to explore or the challenge of climbing Brea Hill with sensational estuary views as your reward. Excellent golf can be found at both the championship course of St Enodoc, in Rock and the superb Point GC in Polzeath. Padstow 1.5 miles via ferry; Polzeath 2.8 miles; Wadebridge 6.2 miles.

Rock is a desirable and much sought after coastal village located on the north eastern bank of the River Camel opposite the famous harbour town of Padstow which is easily reached by a regular ferry service. The summer home of royalty and celebrities offering top class restaurants and quality shops, the real draw is the array of watersports including sailing, water skiing, windsurfing and angling. Continuing on a sporting theme, the golf course at nearby St Enodoc is considered to be one of the best in the country. With an abundance of world class beaches all within a short radius it is easy to see why Rock holds its popularity.
