    “Overall a fantastic and comfortable holiday home in (for us) a perfect location and mix of bedrooms and bathrooms for our set up.”

    Very well equipped in the kitchen (and laundry areas) made it very easy for all and the kitchen/diner offered a great entertaining space. Having the pool and decent sized garden was such a bonus - loved the bunny rabbits appearing early am and eve...We did have some minor issues which John Bray responded to promptly - so important when time is short, which was much appreciated ...only way things could have been improved is in investing in a more up to date TV set up and bigger TV and it would ...

Having the pool and decent sized garden was such a bonus - loved the bunny rabbits appearing early am and eve...We did have some minor issues which John Bray responded to promptly - so important when time is short, which was much appreciated ...only way things could have been improved is in investing in a more up to date TV set up and bigger TV and it would have been lovely to have something to play music on in the house - the radio in the kitchen has seen better days... Master bedroom items to note: I rolled up the carpet as the underlay no longer works and was dangerous to walk on and the lefthand bedroom blind mechanisms need replacing...all minor issues which can easily be sorted, an FYI rather than a complaint. We'd love to come back next year!

The property

Trerokken provides the perfect balance of space and privacy, making it ideal for a relaxing holiday with friends or family. This modern, luxurious holiday house is stylishly furnished and equipped to a high standard. It is within easy walking distance of all the local amenities in and around Rock on the North Cornwall coast. The house sleeps 10 guests in total, with one of the bedrooms for 2 located in the comfortable, newly refurbished poolhouse. This dog friendly holiday home has a large south facing enclosed garden, ideal for playing games and relaxing. The decked areas have been recently refurbished and new patio furniture added. There is also the attraction of the heated swimming pool (available from 26 May to 21 September) and an outdoor shower. The garage is available to store bikes or sailing equipment and there is ample parking for cars. The open plan kitchen/diner is ideal for long sociable family meals. A new dining table seats 10 and the new breakfast bar has an integrated wine fridge. Fold back the patio doors to dine alfresco on the well furnished terrace (perfect for those sunny Cornish evenings). Adjacent to the kitchen is the comfortable but cosy living room which features a new Smart TV for the 2022 season, and Bluetooth speaker with radio and CD player. The wood burner will keep guests warm on cooler evenings. There is a ground floor bedroom (twin beds) with patio doors leading on to a secluded terrace. The adjacent wet room (c/w shower, basin and WC) makes this ideal for elderly relatives or extra family members. Upstairs, the master bedroom (king size double bed) with en-suite shower room and balcony overlooks the swimming pool and extensive garden. Two further bedrooms (one king size double bed, one with twin beds) share a large family bathroom (c/w bath and separate shower, basin and WC). Th adjacent, newly refurbished poolhouse accommodates 2 further guests in a 5th bedroom (new king size double bed) wetroom (c/w shower, basin, WC). The adjoining well equipped kitchen/diner and sitting room has its own dining table and Smart TV. Take the short ferry ride over to Padstow, or stay local with plenty of restaurants, shops and cafes to choose from in Rock. Try your hand at sailing, SUP or waterskiing at the Camel Ski School. The beach and dunes along the Camel Estuary offer stunning views and ideal dog walking paths, linking up with the coastal footpaths around to the surfing beach at Polzeath. Children and families enjoy the calm bathing waters at nearby Daymer Bay with plenty of rock pools to explore. Or climb Brea Hill with sensational estuary views as your reward. Excellent golf can be found at both the championship course of St Enodoc in Rock and the superb Point GC in Polzeath. Rock is a desirable and much sought after coastal village located on the north eastern bank of the River Camel opposite the famous harbour town of Padstow which is easily reached by a regular ferry service. The summer home of royalty and celebrities offering top class restaurants and quality shops, the real draw is the array of watersports including sailing, water skiing, windsurfing and angling. Continuing on a sporting theme, the golf course at nearby St Enodoc is considered to be one of the best in the country. With an abundance of world class beaches all within a short radius it is easy to see why Rock holds its popularity.
