The positives: quality bedding and towels, hot water, good wifi, good shower, great location in the village and the car park space is invaluable.
The negatives: the noise and smells of fish from the extractor fan of the Mote restaurant is unbearable. The owner should contact the council about it! The front of the property and windows are filthy. needs to be cleaned weekly. the description, photos and the star rating are completely out of date. The cottage hasn't been updated for years. The furnishings and cushions are old and dirty. chips on crockery and bread jar. Broken hinges on cupboard doors, fridge shelves broken, toilet roll holder broken. No shower non slip mat - I bought one and left it there! No cleaning materials! not one toilet roll was left. The toilet brushes had no holders! there was no information book in the cottage - what to do with rubbish? recycling? the TV needs replacing and for the rental cost one would expect Netfix or similar. I would not recommend Cloam Cottage and will not be re visiting whilst it is in this condition.
