    “The Folly 1 was first class.”

    Beds and seating were comfortable, everything was top quality, no expense spared. We had a water leak in the kitchen but this was reported and a plumber was sent promptly. Only con was having to get out by 9am on day of departure, as the beds had to be stripped (linen not provided) and the house left as we found it.

1 ad 2 the Folly are two semi detached houses that sit in a fantastic location overlooking Port Isaac Harbour.

TV and film lovers will appreciate having 'Doc Martins' fictional home and surgery next door! The house boasts many traditional features with eye catching fireplaces and stunning sea views framed by attractive and enormous windows. Settle down on one of the windows seats where you can watch the to-ing and fro-ing of fishing boats and pleasure crafts. The sleeping accommodation consists of a Super king bedroom and twin bedroom on the first floor and a king size bedroom and twin bedroom on the second floor. the elegant sitting room has a cosy open fire for chillier evenings or blustery days. Port Isaac has become increasingly popular with film and TV crews due to its stunning scenery and better than average weather. German film crews obsessed with romantic Cornish life, portrayed in Rosamunde Pilcher's novels, and of course more local crew's filming more of the 'Doc Martin' series are frequently in evidence in the summer months. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. Only ten minutes drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike. There is ample parking at the top of the village.

There is building work taking place on the property diagonally opposite 1 The Folly. The majority of the external work is completed and work has moved mostly to inside. The building work should be completed by mid summer.
