The property

White House Cottage offers comfortable accommodation for a family of 6 in 3 bedrooms with 1 bathroom. The house is perched on the cliff side at Port Isaac on the North Cornwall coast, as close to the sea as you could possibly be. The magnificent views can be enjoyed from most rooms, giving you a feeling of deep connection with the coast and its history. The lovely garden runs in front of the cottage with fencing at the end of the curtilage so care is needed with children or pets. Everything Port Isaac has to offer is just a minute's stroll down the hill. The property is dog friendly (by arrangement) and attached to The White House, a luxury 3 bedroom holiday home which is also available to rent. From the moment you climb the private steps to the garden area, you're dazzled by the stunning sea and harbour views. From the dining bar and living area, it is so tempting to wander out with a drink where you can then observe the fisherman below landing their catch or preparing for sea, as they have done for centuries. The first floor has three bedrooms, the master superking, and a twin bedroom enjoys unforgetable harbour views and a bunk bedroom at the rear side of the property. Comfortably furnished home-from-home with cosy interiors whilst still retaining its original charm with low ceilings in places and a wood burner for the ultimate comfort with the stunning seascape as a backdrop. Fishing and scenic trips can be taken from the harbour during the summer months, so look out for seals, dolphins, nesting pairs of peregrine falcon's and even, occasionally basking sharks. Port Isaac and the nearby Port Gaverne are within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a Heritage Coast Area, which you can really appreciate when you embark along one of the many lovely walks inland or along the stunning coastal paths. The bay of Port Gaverne is approximately 15 minutes walk away with its excellent 17th century pub boasting real ales and delicious seasonal food, pretty shingle beach and the opportunity to try out an array of outdoor adventure sports to include coastering and kayaking. For more active water sports head over to nearby Rock, or book in for a surf lesson at Polzeath beach. Smaller children and families will enjoy the gentler waves at Daymer Bay, the perfect spot for a beach barbeque or family picnic. About the location

Port Isaac; one of the true Cornish treasures. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. Only ten minutes drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike. There is ample parking at the top of the village.

Please note: This property can be let with 480 The White House for larger parties.
