Original Cornish features are very much in evidence, combined with tasteful modern furnishings and fittings to create a comfortable home-from-home. The ground floor has a light and stylish well kitted kitchen diner with slate flooring, setting the scene for lovely family mealtimes. Large rugs soften the slate floors in the spacious living room, with cosy sofas and the wonderful warmth of a wood burner to curl up in front of for cooler evenings. Attention to detail has been paid to all aspects of this wonderful coastal retreat. The cottage has a really special king sized bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, a further king sized bedroom and two bunk bedrooms.Port Isaac has many fine restaurants, pubs and cafes to enjoy drinks or seafood and other local produce. Independent shops and galleries are perfect to browse around or you could take it easy just sitting back on the Platt watching the local fishermen land their daily catch. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. Only ten minutes drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike. There is ample parking at the top of the village.
