The property

Tamarisk is a large dormer style holiday property set in half an acre of enclosed south facing gardens with views of the Camel Estuary and surrounding countryside. It is furnished to a high standard and can sleep 10 guests in 5 bedrooms with 6 bathrooms, ideally suited to large groups of friends as there are 4 twin bedrooms and 1 with a king size bed, all but one benefiting from an en-suite bathroom. The house is well equipped to provide entertainment in all weathers and has plenty of space inside and out. The property backs onto the internationally acclaimed St Enodoc golf course, making it ideal for keen golfers but equally wonderful for walkers. The huge sunny gardens have plenty of mature plants and vast lawned areas for relaxing on a rug in the sunshine or for fun and games. There is a terrace with garden furniture to make the most of the warmer days, which is easily accessed through patio doors from the lounge. For winter holidays and cooler evenings there is the benefit of a wood burner and a games/TV room to keep the hordes entertained. Tamarisk is an ideal base from which to explore the local area and ideal for those who wish to be near the sea but to have a spacious retreat to return to.The Camel Estuary has an almost continental buzz in the Summer months when all the moorings are full and there's water skiing or dinghy racing to watch or to take part in. The Black Tor passenger ferry crosses to and fro from the hustle and bustle of Padstow's fishing harbour side. Speedboats, paddle boarders and kayakers all can enjoy the relatively calm waters of the estuary. A five-minute trip in the car round to Polzeath proves a dramatic contrast with impressive cliffs and clean waves, ideal for any hardy surfers or body boarders. There's nothing like catching a wave into the shore! Rock is a desirable and much sought after coastal village located on the north eastern bank of the River Camel opposite the famous harbour town of Padstow which is easily reached by a regular ferry service. The summer home of royalty and celebrities offering top class restaurants and quality shops, the real draw is the array of watersports including sailing, water skiing, windsurfing and angling. Continuing on a sporting theme, the golf course at nearby St Enodoc is considered to be one of the best in the country. With an abundance of world class beaches all within a short radius it is easy to see why Rock holds its popularity.
