“All was wonderful, lovely house as advertised, but there’s a big ‘but’.”

For days on end there were uncollected bags of empty bottles outside the house, mostly alcohol-related. We repeatedly asked that they were removed, but that only happened a couple of days before we departed. Worse, the rubbish bin also blighted our stay. Again, not emptied for days and it really wasn’t a pleasant smell (understatement). So, we loved the house, but feel you could have acted much more quickly to resolve the two bins issues, and on balance believe some form of discount is in order. There was also rather noisy building work next door, with a very loud blaring radio in the garden on the Friday after we arrived (but we do understand these things happen). Anyway, we’re sure your tardy bin clearance / cleansing was an anomaly and that your service is normally of a far higher standard. Sorry to be the bearer… All the best, Liz Winter

Thank you for your feedback and I am glad that at least you enjoyed the house. Our bin is (or should be) emptied by the council every week early on Tuesday mornings and the bin also has to be put by the road to ensure it is emptied. We did have a sign up in the kitchen advising guests of this but I think it must have been removed during the recent decorations. We will put another sign in the kitchen and leave another in the information rack which is by the phone - this was also a casualty of Covid regulations. I am sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you. The house next door was recently sold and the new owners have been building a garage and re-cladding the building. The process has taken considerably longer than expected with a lot of stop /start which I suspect is due the to delay is certain building materials. I am sorry that thy seemed to be "start mode" whilst you were there and should you choose to stay at Bedrawle again it will the relaxed spot it normally is. Patrick Lyon - Owner Property Owner
