“We’ve been coming here for ten years, when it wasn’t upgraded and it’s been good but since the revamp, it’s clear the owners are trying to get some money back by neglecting pure basics!”
None of the below; toilet roll, kitchen towel, binbags, washing up liquid, cloths for surfaces, foil, dishwasher tablets, washing powder, milk, coffee, sugar, tea, barely any salt / pepper in dispensers, confetti in master bedroom from previous, single beds not made into king size as requested prior, the list could go on for another six pages, but the absolute worst part is to try and charge us another £30 for cleaning upon leaving for sand on the couch (it’s a stone throw from the cove / beach), having for the first time ever been charged £70 additionally, for the pleasure of bringing our two dogs - A disgrace of an offer from a customer perspective, 32yrs of booking holiday cottages and exemplary cleaning on leaving properties, not expecting the welcome pack you get in Most properties, but the penny-pinching of these owners is extraordinary given they’ve made a stack over years and only just brought the property into somewhere near the 20th century! Really, really unhappy, still 24hrs later.
Thank you for your feedback. We let self-catering properties so aside from binbags which we provide, all those items must be brought by the guests. We also require 7 days notice regarding bed requests as we must order the correct linen in advance. We are afraid 2 days notice was not enough time for us to arrange the single beds into a kingsize. This is clearly stated on the webpage. The £30 cleaning charge is an optional extra for guests who would prefer to leave the property without organising their used linen, putting their bins out etc. We hope you still managed to enjoy your visit despite these issues and would love to welcome you back to North Cornwall in the future. - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner.
