“We had a lovely week in St Enodoc cottage.”

It’s location is superb - just a few minutes walk from the beach. The garden is lovely and the undercover ping pong table was much enjoyed. The other bonus was the cottage remained cool during the very hot weather. The only suggestion we would make would be to add some form of outdoor lighting to the patio area for suppers outside. Other than that it was great. Thank you.

“Lovely cosy, comfortable cottage.”

The only thing that we would LOVE to have is a shower over the bath in the main en suite. It would be so easy to do and would make life SO much easier. It is nice to have a bath for the children and those who like baths so no need to remove the bath, just put a shower fixture above the taps! It would also be VERY useful to have a wheelbarrow to take all the luggage up to the house! One small thing, the curtain in the children's room needs attention as it was hanging off and not enough hooks to fix it properly. We love the cottage. It’s a shame one doesn’t have a view of the sea but nothing is perfect and that’s nobody’s fault, Thank you for your help with the high chair too and LOVED the goody bag with all the Cornish produce! All in all a very enjoyable stay.

“Brilliant stay as the other 5/6 years.”

Convenient to the beach. For paddle and body boarding. Good walks. Sadly area is getting very crowded but not your fault thank you for a great holiday.

“House had not been cleaned.”

Mouse droppings on and under the furniture. No gas which meant no hot water or ability to cook food. Moved to another property which was really good except for the building site next door and the fact we were made to leave a day early because the owners plans changed. Partial refund promised and not received. Awful experience.

“Thank you for letting us stay in your gorgeous little cottge over Xmas.”

We had a wonderful time, no small thanks due to the factit is such a well appointed property and so well equipped. The heating worked, the lighting was good (so often terrible in holiday lets) and the kitchen perfect for our needs. The property

St Enodoc Cottage is a very attractive, detached holiday cottage set within a large south facing garden just 300m from the beach at Daymer Bay. The property retains some lovely original features and is comfortably furnished in a traditional style with room to sleep 8 guests in 4 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms. Two families could comfortably share this self catering seaside retreat or perhaps a larger extended family or a group of friends. A glorious location for all seasons; enjoy hot sunny days on the beach or exhilarating coastal walks on blustery days in the winter. The layout downstairs provides plenty of space for everyone with an open plan kitchen/dining room complete with a wood burner for wintry days. Guests could snuggle up with a good book and a roaring fire in the sitting room or the study. There's also a useful utility room, great for picnic blankets, surfboards or buckets and spades. The glorious sheltered garden has a charming terrace and plenty of spots to soak up the summer sun.Daymer Bay beach is an idyllic spot to spend a summer's day, sheltered by the sand dunes that surround it. The calm shallow waters on a rising tide provide some of the warmest opportunities for sea swimming around. There are numerous gorgeous little inlets and coves alongside the bay where you can make camp and settle down for a sunbathe or a sandcastle competition. Polzeath 1.3 miles; Rock 2.3 miles.

Daymer Bay and the village of Trebetherick were both loved by Sir John Betjeman and are unquestionably special. With a huge appeal to both the young and not so young, Daymer Bay has recently been voted one of the best beaches in the world! St. Enodoc Church, once buried in the sand, is within comfortable walking distance of Daymer Bay and is the resting place of Sir John Betjeman. Daymer Bay holds great appeal for wind surfers, kite surfers and paddle boarders, with the gentle waves rolling up the estuary. There is enormous fun too for small children with buckets and spades and fishing in the rock pools. At low tide you can walk across the sand to the village of Rock to indulge in a spot of retail therapy or a bite to eat at one of the many delicious eateries, or catch the short ferry ride and explore the delights of Padstow. Up from the coast path as it runs from Daymer Bay is Highcliffe, nestling between Polzeath and Trebetherick, both of which boast a number of pubs, restaurants and village stores all offering a wide variety of fresh quality produce. The properties at Highcliffe have the advantage of being within easy reach of Daymer, Polzeath and Greenaway - Greenaway being the name given to the clifftop area, beach and small cove with rock pools overlooking the Atlantic beyond that lies between Daymer and Polzeath.
