    “Kitchen lights, grill and some of the heaters did not work.”

    The office called to check all ok I said this to them then, yes maintenance was offered to come over but you don’t want that on your holiday.

Located on the footpath to Porthilly Beach Sandyhills are a collection of lovely individually built and owned chalet style houses.  Very easy walk to the shops lovely outlook over an area of outstanding natural beauty.

The property

Seven, Sandy Hills is a beautifully appointed contemporary property in Rock with high quality fixtures and fittings, set in an elevated position to make the most of the lovely countryside views. A lovely self-catering holiday property suitable for at least two families to share, as it sleeps 10 people in 4 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms. With two sets of bunk beds in one room, children will love to share bedtime stories with friends or cousins before crashing out after long days on the beach. The peaceful cove of Porthilly can be found a stroll away, along the footpath close by. Rock's vibrant waterfront is a good 10-minute walk away.The bedrooms are all on the ground floor; two king sized bedrooms both have en-suite shower rooms, while a twin bed room and the children's bunk bedroom have use of the family bathroom. An external utility room has a useful wetsuit hanging rail and a lockable courtyard to store boards and bikes etc. The first floor has wonderful vaulted ceilings letting in lots of light and creating a spacious and airy feel enhancing the stylish decor throughout. The modern open plan kitchen/dining and living room is sleek and well equipped yet practical enough to cater for large family groups. A separate snug with a TV gives an additional haven for tired children or adults to retreat to.Outside, a large decking area provides its own secluded outdoor eating area. Private parking spaces are generous enough for three cars. Seven Sandy Hills is situated on a private lane only 5 minutes from the waterside of the Camel Estuary and less than a mile drive to the vibrant surfing hub of Polzeath or the family friendly beach at Daymer Bay. Tempting restaurants at the St Enodoc Hotel, Nathan Outlaw at The Mariners and Fred Beedle at The Dining Room, are well within walking distance. Rock is a desirable and much sought after coastal village located on the north eastern bank of the River Camel opposite the famous harbour town of Padstow which is easily reached by a regular ferry service. The summer home of royalty and celebrities offering top class restaurants and quality shops, the real draw is the array of watersports including sailing, water skiing, windsurfing and angling. Continuing on a sporting theme, the golf course at nearby St Enodoc is considered to be one of the best in the country.
