The property

Rock 1.3 miles. Set in a residential area called Pityme in St. Minver Lowlands, near the coastal village of Rock in Cornwall, is this single-storey cottage, Rockways. This attractive house boasts garden views from the back and an enclosed lawn and front patio, a ground-floor living layout and flexible sleeping arrangements. Paces away from local amenities and within easy access to the coast, the cottage welcomes five guests, perfect for a family or a group of friends with one pet permitted. A relaxing self-catering Cornish getaway is expected by making Rockways your home-from-home, eased by off-road parking, a fully-equipped kitchen, plush carpets and interiors and inviting bedrooms, all within close proximity to a sleek bathroom. The house has a calm, restful and inviting feel which makes you feel at home while still offering modern conveniences in the kitchen and bathroom facilities. The open plan layout of this single-storey home makes it attractive for spending time with your family and friends. Cooking becomes a social activity here and on a sunny day, why not throw open the double doors and dine al fresco on the gravelled patio area? At the back of the house the lawned garden provides a perfect place for children and canine companions to run off any extra energy or simply for enjoying the wildlife and sunbathing. Unwind in the evening in front of the smart TV, planning for your following day of exploring and rest in the three bedrooms, offering space for all the family. This location means that Rockways is close to a number of beautiful beaches and villages. Venturing down the road into Rock village, be greeted by a selection of shops such as a local butchers, bakery and deli with restaurants and attractions to delve into further down by the beach. Enjoy a delicious lunch overlooking the Camel Estuary at The Rock Inn or opt for an invigorating round of golf at the famous St. Enodoc Golf Course, relax upon the sandy Rock beach or take a tour of the local art gallery, all these options are on your doorstep. Displaying idyllic scenes of the Cornish shoreline, hike down to Lundy Bay from its car park just outside Polzeath, ending with a paddle in the sea from its golden sands. Alternatively, if you're an avid walker, trail to The Rumps, offering stunning cliffside views of the sea and from Pentire Head, panoramic views of the Camel estuary. For an adventure-filled day out with the children, slide down the Giant Slip and Slide Cornwall, measuring at 360 feet long at nearby St. Endellion and then indulge at Trevathan Farm Shop just opposite. In the summertime be sure to partake in their 'Pick Your Own' strawberries as they are truly scrumptious. Further north lie Doyden Castle and the bay of National Trust-owned bay of Port Quin, the latter is fantastic for snorkeling. For anyone keen on a country house, try Pencarrow House & Garden near Wadebridge or Lanhydrock near Bodmin, both of which feature beautiful gardens and are accessible by car. Enjoy the Cornish coast by staying at Rockways.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £200.
