“Yes the house was comfortable and clean!”

The kitchen can however be better equipped with more bowls!

The property

Nestled in the calm village of Tredrizzick, Trethias is a homely yet chic seaside self catering holiday home, sleeping 5 guests in three bedrooms. A perfect escape for those wishing to be in close distance to all the facilities of Rock village and the beautiful beaches at Porthilly and Rock, while also being able to return to your own bubble of relaxation to unwind in at the end of each day. Settle in, put the kettle on and unpack at your leisure. The generously sized master bedroom has been designed as your own personal suite to give adults their own space in addition to the family living room, offering a king size bed, two armchairs for curling up in, its own TV and with the added benefit of a bathroom ensuite. Just across the entrance hallway, the bright twin room can suit adults or children with two three foot wide single beds, with a further single bedroom at the back of the house with a window overlooking the garden. To freshen up after a fun filled day on the local sandy Daymer Bay beach, a family bathroom gives the practical facility of a stand up shower. Laid out with with social living in mind, double doors from the living room lead to the kitchen where the light floods in from the double aspect windows. For those evenings where you are not taking advantage of the fantastic local restaurants and fish and chips takeaway, the well equipped kitchen diner allows for everyone to cook, sit and eat together. During the day time, the large glass door lets the sunshine beam through; throw it open in fine weather to let the fresh air flow through and have direct access outside. Step out onto the patio and let the children run free across the lawn. There is plenty of space to let off steam and play together, while adults can gather around the garden table with a tipple and bask in the warmth of the sun trap that the walled garden provides. As the evening draws in, the whole group can retreat inside and cosy up together in the family living room. Bring your old favourite films or why not set up a games night to give each other some healthy competition!? On autumnal and wintery evenings you are certain to keep toasty in front of the open fire, making this a wonderful home for all seasons. Whether you’re bringing the family or staying with a few friends, the layout of this house with its cheery, uplifting decor means that you can either socialise together in the main living area and kitchen, or if preferred close the double doors and enjoy the peace of some personal space. For your coastal adventures, Trethias is well located with Tredrizzick lying just up the lane from Rock village itself, but also within a short drive to Polzeath. Use the back country lanes to take in the scenery, escape the crowds and perhaps explore the lesser visited Lundy Bay at low tide or walk from the Lead Mines car park beyond Polzeath up to Pentire Point. From here you can revel in the panoramic views from the point out to sea, taking in the mouth of the Camel Estuary to one side and scanning around to the more rugged coastline as it stretches north. The South West Coastal Path follows all the way along here, meaning you can join whichever stretch you like according to walking ability. Golf enthusiasts can enjoy the St Enodoc Golf Course which is just a few minutes down the road from Threthias or The Point at Polzeath with a vast golf course where you can take in some of the most stunning coastal views. If the slower pace of life suits you better, the calm shores of Daymer Bay are nearby where the historic and beautiful St. Enodoc Church sits, set just back in the golf course on an adjoining footpath. Trethias allows you to explore all coastal areas from a central location, safe in the knowledge you have a fantastic home to return to and recharge in after every voyage!
