The property

Bellevue is a beautiful, large Edwardian house situated in an elevated position on The Terrace enjoying breathtaking views, whatever the weather, over Port Isaac bay and along the dramatic coastline to Tintagel Head and beyond. The house offers space, comfortable furnishings, and a welcoming atmosphere for two families to share as it sleeps 12 guests in 7 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms. Port Gaverne is less than a five-minute walk away, where sea swimming in the stunning sheltered cove is exhilarating yet safe. Port Isaac's quaint harbour is only about five minutes walk away where you can browse delightful galleries, shops or dine out in cafes, restaurants or the pub. The panoramic views from this aptly named property can be enjoyed from the large open plan sitting room, almost all of the bedrooms or from the patio to the front, where you can sit, relax and admire almost 180-degree views of uninterrupted ocean. There is also a patio and a pretty garden to the rear and private parking spaces for two vehicles at the back along with additional on street parking at the front. The charming light and spacious kitchen boasts original slate floors and wooden floorboards that run across the elegant sitting room, where on chilly days a wood burner can be lit and guests can snuggle up in it's warmth and gaze at the seascape from the window seat.Bellevue is dog friendly and the wonderful coastal and rural footpaths make for dramatic and scenic dog walks. The nearby Camel Estuary is a drive of less than 20 minutes and the sandy, dunes and long stretch of beach towards at Rock and Daymer Bay are also dog friendly as well as brilliant for sailing and water skiing. Dogs are even allowed on the passenger ferry that carries passengers back and forth to Padstow where the walk up to Stepper point is beautiful in all seasons.Ground Floor Sitting Room, sea views Kitchen/Dining Room Utility Room Separate WC Open Outside Shower with hot and cold water First Floor Bedroom 1: Super King (6' x 6'6), sea views Bedroom 2: Super King (6' x 6'6), wash hand basin Bedroom 3: Twin beds, wash hand basin Bathroom/WC, sea views Bath/Shower/WC Door and steep narrow stairs to Bed 7: Single bed Second Floor Bedroom 4: Single bed, sea views Bedroom 5: Twin beds, sea views Bedroom 6: Bunk beds, wash hand basin Shower Room/WC Pets by arrangement

About the location

Polzeath 6 miles; Padstow 9 miles

Port Isaac; one of the true Cornish treasures. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. Only ten minutes drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike. There is ample parking at the top of the village.
