The property

Beaches is a bright, airy, modern and comfortable haven that offers a unique location at the end of a quiet private close. It has the advantage of being moments from Polzeath beach and village which is only a 3 minute walk down a charming wooded footpath directly opposite the house. With glimpses of the beach and the tide seen through the trees. The driveway has space for up to three cars with an open lawn and rear private patio terrace. Beaches is a split level accommodation which sleeps 6 guests in 3 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms on the first floor and an extremely useful shower room and utility room on the ground floor. This gives access to the double garage which provides room for the safe storage of bikes, surf boards/rack, wet suits, etc. as well as serving as a games room/Table Tennis. The outside hot/cold shower is ideal for washing off the sand after an early morning surf or a day lazing on the beach. The footpath opposite Beaches takes you down to the tennis court, crazy golf course, pitch and putt and the Polzeath Marine Centre, with trampoling in the summer season. Polzeath village hosts an array of shops, restaurants and cafes with outside balconies. Wetsuits and surf board hire is available and lessons at all of the many surf schools operating on the beach. Polzeath itself is a blue flag beach with RNLI lifeguards on duty during the summer. Lovers of sailing and water skiing can head to Rock, which is a 15 minute off road cycle ride. From there, you can catch the ferry across to Padstow and then cycle the Camel trail along the old railway line to Wadebridge. If you enjoy walking then there are a network of scenic coastal footpaths to enjoy. A 5 minute walk will take you to the footpath leading to Greenaway beach and Daymer Bay and on to Rock. A short drive away in the other direction lies picturesque Port Isaac harbour, the filming location for Doc Martin. There is a choice of two local spas with indoor and outdoor pools including The Cowshed at the St Moritz Hotel and the Point at Polzeath, which are within a 10 to 15 min walk/5 min cycle. If golf is your pastime, you can enjoy the choice of the two courses at St Enodoc Golf Course including The Church Course, voted one of the top 100 world best courses, or there is the The Point Golf Course, Polzeath, the 2017 Golfmark club of the year. The Oyster Catcher, eatery and bar is located a 3 minute walk from the top of the private road. Beaches offers the sand, sea and vibrant surf culture and a host of other activities yet enjoys peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle and traffic making it the ideal coastal retreat for all the family whether you want a more active break or prefer to escape and just relax. No tiring walks after surfing or bodyboarding, no need to move your car all week, just wander up and down the quiet path. Ground Floor: Utility Shower/W.C. About the location

POLZEATH

Wadebridge 7.5 miles; Padstow 16 miles.

The seaside village of Polzeath boasts a sandy beach, which is bordered by rock pools and is acclaimed to be one of the best surfing beaches in the country. Polzeath itself has a number of small shops, cafes and restaurants, and the South West Coast Path, a 630-mile route, runs through the village. Just over seven miles away is the popular market town of Wadebridge, which is set alongside the River Camel and offers an array of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as North Cornwall's only family-owned cinema. There’s wonderful countryside in the area, with the renowned Camel Trail passing through the town, and the nearby town of Padstow, with its harbour, pastel-washed medieval houses and celebrated restaurants is well worth exploring. Within driving distance is the UK surfing capital of Newquay, with over 11 miles of golden sandy beaches. Polzeath is an excellent base for exploring this part of Cornwall.
