“A comment we would like to pass on to the owner is that it was a really lovely cottage, very nicely decorated and we felt at home as soon as we arrived - really lovely stay.”

The garden was particularly lovely to have and we appreciated the recliners!

The property

Brook Cottage has the unusual benefit of being set in its own attractive, sunny garden with a leat running around its border and is neatly tucked away in Middle Street in the heart of Port Isaac. This delightful cottage is comfortably furnished and within easy walking distance of Port Isaac's pretty little harbour with an allocated parking place for one car at the top of Church Hill. Ideally suited for a group of friends, as it sleeps 6 guests in 3 double bedrooms with 2 bathrooms. It has all the features and charm of a traditional fisherman's cottage, yet has been tastefully decorated and equipped for modern convenience to ensure a memorable stay. The sunny garden has borders of mature plants and trees, a sweet little summerhouse and a slate paved terrace area perfect for catching the sunshine with the papers and a coffee. Although the garden lends itself so well to balmy sunny days, the cottage is equally appealing in the cooler months as you have an open fire to stoke up and revive tired legs after busy days spent exploring the coastal paths or browsing in the many shops and galleries by the harbour. The three bedrooms are light and sunny with one king sized bed and two doubles. The kitchen has wonderful huge slate slabs on the floor and modern shaker style units. Port Isaac village on the north coast of Cornwall is well known for its celebrity chef Nathan Outlaw, try his Fish Kitchen or his fine dining 2 michelin starred restaurant. Port Isaac is also now famous as the fictional 'Port Wenn', just strolling around the village will take you to many of the series locations and take a walk up Roscarrock hill where the 'Doc's' house and surgery is located. If you continue on up from there you can join the dramatic coastal path over Lobber Point and beyond, where the scenery is stunning and the views will take your breath away!Accommodation: Entrance Lobby Shower/W.C. About the location

Polzeath 6 miles; Padstow 9 miles

Port Isaac; one of the true Cornish treasures. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. Only ten minutes drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike. There is ample parking at the top of the village.
