The property

Gull Rock 4 is a luxury detached holiday house located in the centre of the popular North Cornwall village of Rock. This contemporary, architect designed house oozes style and offers reverse living accommodation to make the most of the fantastic views across the water to Padstow. Just 200 yards from the Rock Sailing Club and the banks of the tidal Camel Estuary, the house sleeps eight guests in 4 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms.With the main living space upstairs, the beautiful oak structure of the building is revealed, framing far reaching views of the estuary and supporting a glass walkway across the double height space. The first floor is drenched in natural light and features a beautiful open plan kitchen, dining and sitting room, which has patio doors opening onto a sunny balcony from which to relax and enjoy the evening sunsets. The master bedroom suite offers a secluded retreat, with perfectly framed water views from the comfortable super-king bed. A cosy study is cleverly set on a mezzanine level looking down on the dining area. Downstairs, the ground floor features an impressive entrance hall with doors leading out to an enclosed south-facing lawned garden with a raised patio area to make the most of the afternoon sun. A side gate makes it easy to pop home and use the outside shower to rinse off soggy sailing and surfing gear before storing them in the double garage and stepping into the spacious utility and wet room. On this floor, one well-appointed double bedroom sits next to its own wet room, while two further double bedrooms share a family bathroom with Jack & Jill doors opening onto a TV room/play den that children and teenagers will adore. Gull Rock 4 is one of the best located holiday homes in Rock and within short walking distance of all the restaurants, water sports, beaches and plentiful activities on offer in this stunning area. Catch the ferry across to Padstow to explore this delightful harbour town, or walk the coastal paths towards Daymer Bay or Polzeath beach. A short 10 minute drive will see you in picturesque Port Isaac, a pretty working harbour and home to the Fishermans Friends and the film set for the Doc Martin TV series. Rock is a desirable and much sought after coastal village located on the north eastern bank of the River Camel opposite the famous harbour town of Padstow which is easily reached by a regular ferry service. The summer home of royalty and celebrities offering top class restaurants and quality shops, the real draw is the array of watersports including sailing, water skiing, windsurfing and angling. Continuing on a sporting theme, the golf course at nearby St Enodoc is considered to be one of the best in the country. With an abundance of world class beaches all within a short radius it is easy to see why Rock holds its popularity.
