“Hi View is a lovely comfortable property with excellent access to Port Isaac village and the numerous beaches in the area.”

We particularly loved the terrace with views down to the harbour - very relaxing after a long day's water sports or walking the cliff pathes.

The property

Hi View sits in an elevated position at the top of Port Isaac village enjoying stunning views of the harbour and sea beyond. This delightful bungalow has a large garden, patio, private parking for two cars and is just a five-minute stroll down to the narrow, winding streets of Port Isaac harbour, as featured in the popular television series Doc Martin. An array of great restaurants, pubs, and cafes are all within walking distance; sit back and relax with a gourmet meal or a Cornish cream tea and watch the world go by. Sleeping 6 people in 3 bedrooms with 1 bathroom and a separate WC, Sun room and with newly refurbished kitchen decorated in neutral tones Hi View is a perfect coastal retreat for a family at any time of year. The birds eye view of the harbour and village is fantastic from the rear terrace, where you can start your morning with an al fresco breakfast as you watch the harbour come to life with fisherman busily preparing their boats or catch. On less than balmy days, the large windows in the sitting room/dining room at Hi View will allow you to appreciate wonderful views in warmth and comfort. The bright, good sized kitchen, three bedrooms consisting of one twin and two double bedrooms are each set off the hallway opposite and alongside the bathroom.Local shops in the village include a baker, fishmonger and a Co-Op at the top of the village for everything else you may need. The nearest town is Wadebridge about a 20-minute drive away, with lots of independent shops, three supermarkets, a sports centre with an indoor pool and also a cinema showing all the latest films. A wonderful old railway line that used to run through the town and alongside the river Camel has been transformed into a trail for bikes or walkers - the Camel Trail is a brilliant way to see the estuary and is a flat gentle path suitable for all ages. Bike hire is easily found at either Padstow or Wadebridge.Accommodation: Kitchen, Sitting Room/Dining area Bedroom 1: Double bed Bedroom 2: Double bed Bedroom 3: Twin beds Bath/Shower/W.C. About the location

Polzeath 6 miles; Padstow 9 miles

Port Isaac; one of the true Cornish treasures. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. Only ten minutes drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike. There is ample parking at the top of the village.
