High Perch as the name suggests is positively perched at the top of Port Isaac and enjoys incredible views over the harbour and out to sea. Conveniently located on the outskirts of the old part of Port Isaac, from here you can enjoy a short walk down to the harbour or pick up your weekly groceries from the local Co Op store. This spacious 4 bedroom holiday cottage sleeping 8 guests comfortably sharing 3 bathrooms makes High Perch a suitable base for families sharing or a group who are keen to explore the Doc Martin film location and coastal beauty that Port Isaac oozes. Port Isaac is a historic village situated along the rugged North Cornwall coastline famed for its picturesque fisherman’s cottages and narrow streets. Try walking out onto Lobber Point and follow the coastal footpath around the steep cliffs towards the pretty National Trust owned Port Quin, book yourselves into michelin star restaurants and proper Cornish pubs for locally brewed ale or simply enjoy salty fish and chips on the harbour wall. For lazy days and beach picnics with young children, we recommend Daymer Bay with is clear sheltered waters. With so much on offer the choice is yours. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. Only ten minutes drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike. There is ample parking at the top of the village.
