We had another wonderful stay at Low Cliff. Having stayed in several of your properties, this is by far our favourite.

The property

Low Cliff Cottage is situated on the front line at New Polzeath, over-looking the golden sandy beach with magnificent sea views out across the bay to Stepper Point. From the garden and terrace you can see both headlands, Pentire and Stepper. The self catering holiday house has been refurbished and offers an excellent base for family and friends sleeping 9-10 in 5 bedrooms with 4 bath/shower rooms. The main holiday house has three of the bedrooms, whilst the rear detached annexe offers two more bedrooms and a small sitting room. There is one good sized parking space at the rear (accessed off the road behind called Atlantic Mews) that has steps down to the main house. The North Cornwall coastal path is accessible right from the front garden gate, taking you straight onto dramatic coastal walks in both directions. From the garden gate granite steps also lead you down to Polzeath beach, a wide sandy beach strewn with rock pools and wonderful sun bathing areas tucked away in a small indent of the South facing cliff line. For the surfers in your party, you are ideally positioned to jump straight in the Atlantic ocean on the right hand side, perfect for the best waves of the beach! Surf schools offer tuition and equipment hire for all ages and abilities. Just a short walk along the coast path brings you to the shops for your morning papers or coffee in one of Polzeath's many cafes. Great restaurants are all within walking distance, most with terraces from which to enjoy the glorious evening sunsets.A couple of miles away lie the beaches of Daymer Bay; renowned for its sheltered azure bathing waters, and Rock; which offers sailing and water sports galore. At Rock you can also catch the ferry over to Padstow to explore the bustling harbour town. Slightly further afield are the three ports; Port Isaac, Port Gaverne and Port Quin, all beautiful in their own right and definitely worth exploring. These picturesque areas give anyone visiting the area enough to occupy themselves for weeks, whether you play golf, love walking, enjoy water sports (swimming, kayaking, coasteering, spearfishing etc.) or just want to spend some quality time watching the world go by.Accommodation: Covered Atrium Porch Kitchen Breakfast Room Utility Separate W.C. About the location

Wadebridge 7.5 miles; Padstow 16 miles.

The seaside village of Polzeath boasts a sandy beach, which is bordered by rock pools and is acclaimed to be one of the best surfing beaches in the country. Polzeath itself has a number of small shops, cafes and restaurants, and the South West Coast Path, a 630-mile route, runs through the village. Just over seven miles away is the popular market town of Wadebridge, which is set alongside the River Camel and offers an array of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as North Cornwall's only family-owned cinema. There’s wonderful countryside in the area, with the renowned Camel Trail passing through the town, and the nearby town of Padstow, with its harbour, pastel-washed medieval houses and celebrated restaurants is well worth exploring. Within driving distance is the UK surfing capital of Newquay, with over 11 miles of golden sandy beaches. Polzeath is an excellent base for exploring this part of Cornwall.
