8 Sandy Hills is a spacious modern holiday property in Rock, with wonderful soaring vaulted ceilings and a light filled, fresh interior that has been finished to a very high standard. Comfortably furnished, this self catering holiday home sleeps 9 guests in four bedrooms with tasteful decor throughout. Situated in an elevated position 8 Sandy Hills has a large balcony that offers attractive views over the countryside beyond. The property is positioned on a private lane within a short 5 minute stroll of Porthilly and Rock beaches, a local newsagent and delicatessen. Rock's waterfront and village amenities are a short 10 minute walk. A full linen service is provided, alongside a dedicated parking area.The main living space is set on the first floor to make the most of the countryside views. The generous open plan kitchen, dining and living area offers plenty of space for the whole family to enjoy movie or games nights together. There is also a separate snug with a TV, for children or teenagers to relax in. The stylish oak fitted kitchen is very well equipped and offers a sociable space alongside the large oak dining table for relaxed family mealtimes. As well as seating on the first floor balcony, the property also offers a secluded outside eating area on the ground floor, that is perfect for a quiet morning coffee or afternoon drinks. All the bedrooms are located on the ground floor; the master kingsize bedroom has an en-suite shower room, whilst the remaining kingsize bedroom, twin bedroom and children's bunk bedroom all share a family bathroom with shower over the bath.8 Sandy Hills is a great base from which to enjoy the natural beauty of the North Cornwall coast during all seasons; a contemporary wood-burner provides extra warmth during the autumn and winter to cosy up next to after bracing walks or exhilarating dips in the sea. With the gorgeous Porthilly Beach on your doorstep you can head out on coastal walks that meander along the golden sandy beach to the water sport hub of Rock. From here you can catch the day ferry to Padstow to explore the historic fishing harbour, or try your hand at Sailing, Paddle-boarding, Waterskiing, Fishing or Wake-boarding. Continue walking along the mile stretch of golden beach that borders the Camel Estuary and wraps around to Daymer Bay. This gorgeous sheltered beach offers clear blue waters and is perfect for smaller children; pack a picnic and enjoy a traditional bucket & spade day. Further on the coastal path wraps around the headland bringing you to Polzeath beach - voted one of Britain's best surfing spots. A blue flag beach, with RNLI Life Guards on duty, Polzeath offers surfing, body boarding and swimming for all abilities with lessons and equipment for hire by the hour. A short 6 mile drive from Rock will bring you to the vibrant fishing village of Port Isaac. Rock is a desirable and much sought after coastal village located on the north eastern bank of the River Camel opposite the famous harbour town of Padstow which is easily reached by a regular ferry service. The summer home of royalty and celebrities offering top class restaurants and quality shops, the real draw is the array of watersports including sailing, water skiing, windsurfing and angling. Continuing on a sporting theme, the golf course at nearby St Enodoc is considered to be one of the best in the country. With an abundance of world class beaches all within a short radius it is easy to see why Rock holds its popularity.
