    “Garden furniture very poor, becoming unsafe, I’ve mentioned this before.”

    Bathroom carpet really needs a good clean or replacement. Trewin is in an ideal position which suits our needs. HOWEVER - not at all happy with the new Sykes regime which regrettably, unlike booking with John Bray, doesn’t give us “first refusal” to book for the following year, which we have done for the past 8 years. Where has customer loyalty gone ?

The property

Trewin is a spacious and charming self catering property located in a tranquil cul-de-sac, just a few minutes walk from the centre of Rock village. With generous and stylish furnishings, Trewin provides a high standard of holiday accommodation that backs onto the St Enodoc Golf course. A secluded and enclosed garden with a large rear lawn which is perfect for garden games with the children and an outdoor paved terrace gives the ideal outdoor eating space. Sleeping 6 guests in 3 bedrooms, this is a splendid holiday home for a successful break by the sea. A light, bright open plan kitchen and dining area lead into the splendidly comfortable sitting room, its shelves stacked with books and board games with gorgeous views over the golf course. Step out through the patio doors into the garden where there is plenty of space on the lawn for a kick about and a patio area perfect for some alfresco dining or a drink in the sun. All three bedrooms are comfortably furnished; a master bedroom with a superking size bed and an ensuite shower room while two further rooms are twin bedded and share a family bathroom. A useful utility area with a separate shower room is a great space to wash and dry your beach gear ready for the next activity day on the coast. In a brilliant position to access the delights of the North Cornish coast, there are myriad footpaths to follow from Trewin that join the coastal path. Drop down onto Porthilly beach, a serene cove popular with dog walkers that leads upriver past farmed oyster and mussel beds or over to the sailing club and Rock beach beyond. Stroll over to the sand dunes with a picnic and play hide and seek with the children, then climb Brea Hill for magnificent views out to sea and along the Camel Estuary. With so many activities and water sports to choose from, it is no wonder that Rock is such a popular place to holiday and that visitors return year after year. Rock is a desirable and much sought after coastal village located on the north eastern bank of the River Camel opposite the famous harbour town of Padstow which is easily reached by a regular ferry service. The summer home of royalty and celebrities offering top class restaurants and quality shops, the real draw is the array of watersports including sailing, water skiing, windsurfing and angling. Continuing on a sporting theme, the golf course at nearby St Enodoc is considered to be one of the best in the country. With an abundance of world class beaches all within a short radius it is easy to see why Rock holds its popularity.
