Doom Bar House is an extremely aptly named clifftop property set within its own secluded grounds above Fishing Cove Field with incredible views of the Doom Bar and Camel Estuary on the North Cornwall coast. This majestic coastal holiday house has been recently refurbished and extended to accommodate 8 guests in four bedrooms with 3 bathrooms, ideal for a large family, or for bringing along the grandparents or extra friends. The house is accessed via its own private drive and offers the ultimate in seclusion and privacy, yet all within a stones throw of the wonderful family beach of Daymer Bay.
A relaxing holiday house, Doom Bar House has undergone an upgrade and extension to include a new much larger kitchen breakfast room that opens out onto the large south facing lawns. A generous utility room and a very useful beach shower/WC in the rear covered porch are also part of the new additions to make this place a very special holiday home. There are three twin bedrooms and a double bedroom as well as plenty of communal living spaces. From the bottom of the large lawned gardens, there is a private gate beckoning you straight out onto the coastal paths with direct access onto Daymer Bay itself. A highlight of your holiday could well be spotting the occasional pod of dolphins from your incredible vantage point at Doom Bar House.
The family friendly beach at Daymer Bay is perfect for rock-pooling, shell seeking and splashing in the clear, calm waters. The location of the house makes slinging a towel over your shoulder and gathering up the children together with a few buckets and spades the easiest start to your holiday. At low tide you can walk the mile long stretch of sand around to Rock for sailing, paddle-boarding and waterskiing, or even catch the foot ferry over to Padstow harbour for lunch and a spot of shopping. In the other direction just around the coast lies Polzeath beach - renowned for its surfing and body boarding, cool cafe culture and buzzy surf vibe. If you feel any need to travel further afield for other recreations, activities or supplies then a fifteen minute drive to either Port Isaac harbour or the bustling town of Wadebridge can fulfil those needs.
