Ivy Cottage is a traditional character Cornish cottage believed to be 18th century. It enjoys an elevated position overlooking the bay at Polzeath on the North Cornwall coast. It has the benefit of a spacious and sunny patio area and useful parking for 3 cars. Ideally suited to a large family or group of friends, Ivy Cottage has two twin bedrooms in the main house and a separate annexe with a further twin bedroom and a bunk room. Please note that the ground floor bedroom in the annex is only suitable for high season occupation. Polzeath is a perfect base for your holiday with Daymer Bay and the Camel estuary close by.
With its amazing thick walls and striking slate floor in the dining room and its wooden beams you can feel the history in the fabric of the building. The blues and whites within and the glimpse of Pentire point from one of the twin bedrooms enhance the seaside effect. After an energetic swim or surf, you can laze in the bath with its picture postcard view. A good choice of eating out options surround Ivy Cottage with pubs, cafes and restaurants. The village has a good choice of shops for food, drink and essential groceries, but also has a number of other retail shops and an art gallery. Pick up all you need to enjoy a beach picnic or a proper Cornish cream tea to enjoy on your sunny patio.
Polzeath has everything you need for a lovely seaside holiday, with its amazing surf and fascinating rock pools that run along both sides of the bay. There are fantastic cliff top walks and other coves and inlets to discover nearby. For a change of scene, guests could hop in the car and drive the 7 miles along to Port Isaacs pretty working fishing harbour, now quite well known for its Doc Martin fame. Along the way you could stop in at the unspoilt little coves of Port Quin and Port Gaverne for a spot of wild swimming, followed by some chips and a quick pint at the Port Gaverne pub.

Please Note Ivy Cottage is situated below a construction project of two new build properties with construction works started in September 2016.
