After a casual stroll across Polzeath’s sand, why not indulge in a delicious lunch and tempting tipple at the newly reopened Atlantic House Hotel’s Doom Bar restaurant, whose outside terrace affords incredible views out to sea. If you need to walk it off afterwards, follow the coastline around  Pentire Point on the circular walk which takes you past the Rumps; National Trust headland with spectacular panoramic views of the sea. Polzeath Beach is a Blue Flag beach renowned for its clear waters and golden sands linked by coastal walks; take the south coastal path to nearby Daymer Bay and Rock on the protected Camel Estuary. Pack your crabbing net when pottering this way as on the way when the tide is low, children can revel in finding treasures it the rock pools at the nearby lesser known beach, Greenaway. To the north of Polzeath lies the little bay of Port Quin where local companies offer kayaking and paddle boarding opportunities and further on, the pretty fishing village of Port Isaac. While you can simply spend your time at a leisurely pace ambling around the local seaside villages and stocking up with Cornish produce at the local butchers, bakery and deli in Rock, with so much to do right on your doorstep you will be spoilt for choice as to how you enjoy your holiday here.
