**Building Works** Please be aware that there are extensive building works beside Seaspray and Back Cottage through the year of 2017. Because of the building work disruption, the owners of Seaspray have reduced the weekly rentals by 40% to cover any inconvenience caused by the building site as a sorry gesture.
Seaspray is a detached older style property set into the hillside in Old Polzeath with sea views over the bay. Families, groups of ramblers or budding surfers can lace up their boots, pop on a wetsuit and find themselves right on the beach within a minutes walk. The varied and dramatic coastal paths travel in either direction, with endlessly different paths to explore. The waves are ever changing to suit absolute beginners to hardened professionals. The accommodation sleeps 6-7 guests in 4 bedrooms; 1 king size bedroom, 1 bunk room, 1 single room and a further bedroom with a single bed and a folding bed. Seaspray will suit larger groups or extended family as (197) Back Cottage (sleeping 4) could also be rented in conjunction with Seaspray.
Seaspray is accessed by a private road, with steep steps up from the parking area. There is a sizeable overhanging balcony with wooden decking: a terrific vantage point where guests can relax and admire the sea views after an energetic day on or off the water. Polzeath has a number of shops, cafes and great places to eat so there's no need to move far for the reward of a Cornish pasty, pint or an ice cream!
Polzeath is a fabulous location for surfers and walkers but it also has all the charms of a classic bucket and spade holiday. Children will have the vast beach to discover and when the tide is low more bays and coves are revealed. Some of the rock pools are perfectly sized for small children to splash about in and of course great for messing about with fishing nets. An interesting day out could take you to nearby Port Isaac, which is steeped in history with beautiful 18th century fisherman's cottages tucked into the hillside joined by narrow alleyways and surrounding a picturesque harbour side.
Pets welcome by arrangement. Excellent for large family groups when rented in conjunction with (197) Back Cottage.
