Uniquely flexible, Backwater is connected to another property, Slatewater by a pedestrian gate that sits directly below. When combined, both properties can cater up to 12 guests, making this the perfect base for a large family get together or special occasion
Backwater has been newly developed with serious attention to detail and comfort in mind. Making the most of the views, the accommodation upstairs includes a fantastic open plan kitchen, dining and living area flooded with light from the floor to ceiling windows that open out onto a glass fronted terrace with fantastic outdoor beach and sea views. The small kitchen area has brilliant facilities to enjoy a home cooked meal after a long day exploring the coast. There is a dining table and chairs to seat 4 and a comfy sofa on which to relax in front of the view or movie beside the gorgeous log burner. The ground floor comprises of two stunning bedrooms with their own access to the outdoor terrace where you can enjoy the sounds of the coast. Bedroom one has a 5ft king bed and bedroom two has 3ft, zip and link twin beds, both bedrooms have their own TV. There is a beautifully appointed shower room with walk in shower, basin, WC and heated towel rail. Also downstairs is a washer/dryer.
A perfect place for a Cornish seaside holiday, Polzeath hums with energy and atmosphere and ticks all the boxes. Fun for young children at low tide, rock pools are good for shrimping and crabbing; don’t forget your net and bucket. Surf schools teach the art of surfing, paddle-boarding and rent out boards and wetsuits. Join the coastal path at Polzeath for a rugged walk around Pentire Point and The Rumps: National Trust managed landscapes. Continue past beautiful Lundy Bay, and the beach of Epphaven, all the way to Port Quin, a tranquil cove, lovely to swim in at high tide. Stroll along the top of the cliff to Daymer Bay, a stunning walk; gaze down at the gullies and coves below; look across to Stepper Point headland and the old lifeboat station at Hawker's Cove.
