Northcliffe comprises of the upper two floors of a delightful New England style house, offering comfortable accommodation for a family of 6 in 3 bedrooms with 1 bathroom. The house is perched on the cliff side at Port Isaac on the North Cornwall coast, as close to the sea as you could possibly be. The magnificent views are completely uninterrupted, giving you a feeling of deep connection with the coast and its history. The lovely garden runs in terraces down to the fenced cliff so care is needed with children or pets. Everything Port Isaac has to offer is just a minute's stroll down the hill. The property is dog friendly (by arrangement) and has the benefit of parking for two cars. Northcliffe Garden Flat is attached to the property and also available to rent, sleeping up to 4 people.
A balcony runs along the front length of the house; looking out to sea, with access through sliding French doors from the large open plan lounge/kitchen/dining room. So tempting to wander out with a drink where you can then observe the fisherman below landing their catch or preparing for sea, as they have done for centuries. The first floor has three bedrooms, two are doubles and one has bunk beds. A beautifully furnished home-from-home with a bright and light feel due to the large windows framing the stunning seascape.
Fishing and scenic trips can be taken from the harbour during the summer months, so look out for seals, dolphins, nesting pairs of peregrine falcon's and even, occasionally basking sharks. Port Isaac and the nearby Port Gaverne are within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a Heritage Coast Area, which you can really appreciate when you embark along one of the many lovely walks inland or along the stunning coastal paths. For more active water sports head over to nearby Rock, or book in for a surf lesson at Polzeath beach. Smaller children and families will enjoy the gentler waves at Daymer Bay, the perfect spot for a beach barbeque or family picnic.
Pets welcome by arrangement.
