Recently refurbished throughout, The Mizzen is a contemporary cottage with a south facing patio garden. Situated opposite 'squeeze belly alley' in Port Isaac's popular Dolphin Street on the North Cornwall coast. This bright self-catering holiday cottage sleeps 6 guests in 4 beautifully decorated bedrooms with 2 bathrooms set over three floors. A coastal bolthole within a few minutes walk from the picturesque harbour, shops, cafes, restaurants and the pub.
The bright open plan kitchen, lounge diner welcomes you with it's tasteful decor and seaside theme. The kitchen area has everything you need to cook up some local fresh mackerel for a family lunch or dinner where you can enjoy either around the dining table or al fresco through the warmer months. After a busy day exploring the challenging coastal paths, the sitting area is the perfect place to sink into a chair with a favourite novel or film. For a more atmospheric evening, you can light the wood burner and curl up with a blanket on those cooler days. The four bedrooms are spread over the first and second floor with a shower room on the first and ground floor.
This traditional fishing village has a vibrant local community and many hours can be spent watching the hustle and bustle of the fisherman landing their tasty catch of fish, crab and lobster. Enjoying a relaxing glass of wine or a hearty pint on the platt while the children explore the plentiful rock pools at low tide is a must. Wonderful footpaths lead out of the village along the rugged coastline. A drive out to Rock with its sailing and water skiing is only 15 minutes away as are the golden sandy beaches of Rock and Daymer. There are some excellent golf courses in the area, the nearest being at St Kew then the St Enodoc or The Point at Polzeath or further on the Trevose golf course.
