NEW for 2017 - Introducing Morleys Cottage
Less than 50 yards from Port Isaac Harbour, Morleys Cottage lies right in the bustling heart of Port Isaac village on the north coast of Cornwall. A charming self-catering fisherman's cottage sleeping 4 guests in 2 bedrooms, the property is currently undergoing a complete refurbishment to include a brand new kitchen and shower room, redecoration throughout, new carpets, new heating and new furniture. Morleys Cottage is ideal for a family of four or as a cosy romantic getaway for two. The cottage comes with allocated parking for one car at the top of the village (Please ask us if you want to chat about this before booking), although unloading and loading close to the property is possible.
This newly modernised property will combine a contemporary feel with traditional character features such as slate flag floors and exposed beams. The cottage boasts glorious sea and harbour views from both the sitting room and master bedroom. Enjoy lazy lie-ins as you listen to the sounds of the sea or cosy up by a roaring wood-burner to read or watch a favourite movie. With freshly landed fish available from the fishmongers, you can treat yourself to some delicious easy home cooking.
Morleys Cottage is ideally located for all of Port Isaac's amenities including the Golden Lion pub, Nathan Outlaw's acclaimed fish restaurants, numerous cafes and tea shops as well as plenty of galleries and shops to mooch about. Pick up a bag of locally made fudge, before heading out on a coastal walk to take in some of the most beautiful coastal scenery around. Port Isaac beach provides plenty of rock-pools to explore and hours of fun digging sandcastles or playing cricket. It's great fun to walk along the harbour wall and jump-in at high tide. Head around to nearby Port Gaverne for a swim in the sheltered cove, or try your hand at coasteering or sea kayaking. Golf fans should head to St Enodoc Golf Club or The Point at Polzeath. A 10 minute drive in the car to Rock offers sailing and waterskiing, or catch the ferry across to Padstow. For relaxed beach days and swimming we recommend Daymer Bay which also offers excellent windsurfing and kite-surfing when the weather is right, or head to Polzeath beach if you want to surf or body board.
