New for 2017 - Harewood in Port Isaac
A welcome addition to the John Bray Cornish Holidays portfolio, Harewood has recently been renovated into a restful holiday cottage by the sea. Located a short walk from Port Isaac's historic harbour, a 5 minute walk to Port Gaverne beach for a swim, kyaking and coasteering and Polzeath and Daymer Bay with golden sands and rolling surf a short drive away, this self-catering holiday is the perfect base to enjoy North Cornwall life. Harewood is a thoughtfully and stylishly decorated family friendly property that sleeps 6 guests in 3 bedrooms with one bathroom and one shower room unusually for Port Isaac, offers plenty of parking.
Harewood is an impeccably presented Cornish cottage offering a touch of luxury. Coastal chic inspired design combines easily with original features to create a comfortable family home-from-home. When the wild Atlantic winds blow you can hunker down in the cosy sitting room with its feature wood burner. The adjacent open plan kitchen is ideal for holiday life and offers everything you need to prep lazy breakfasts or summer suppers, which can be taken in the conservatory dining room flooded with natural light. Throw open the doors to the terraced patio garden to let the fresh ocean air flood in, or take your meal up to the raised terrace to make the most of fine days. The double bedroom on the first floor is a relaxing, calm space with large windows to let the light flood in. The kids bunk room opposite offers children plenty of room to relax and play, with a family bathroom close to hand. Retreat upstairs in the eaves to the spacious master bedroom with it's original oak beams, dressing area and views of the harbour.
The north Cornish coast has plenty to offer couples and families alike. Water-babies will adore the myriad of water sports on offer from surfing to sailing, swimming to sea kayaking. Stretch out on the many coast paths around the area to explore the rugged and beautiful coast by foot or simply take time out with a cliff top picnic. Art aficionados will enjoy perusing the many galleries around Port Isaac, while food lovers are spoilt for choice with michelin star Nathan Outlaw's two restaurants in Port Isaac village plus countless tea shops, pubs and restaurants. The harbour at Port Isaac offers a safe rock-pooling and paddling beach for youngsters, but stronger swimmers may want to head next door to Port Gaverne for swimming or coasteering. Surfers should head to nearby Polzeath for some of Britain's best waves, whilst sailors and water-ski enthusiasts should look to Rock on the Camel Estuary.
2 Pets by arrangement. Care should be taken with children on steep narrow stairs up to the master bedroom on the second floor. The property is situated next to the Port Isaac village hall.
