Gully Lofts is a beautifully presented south facing light and sunny first floor apartment above The Boathouse Stores overlooking the sea, and harbour in the sheltered, picturesque village of Port Isaac. Situated halfway up Fore Street, one of the most filmed streets in the village, recognisable from its many appearances in the television series Doc Martin. Gully Lofts will sleep 4 guests in 2 bedrooms with one bathroom, so could easily suit a romantic break for two or a family of 4. In walking distance of Port Isaac's shops, cafes, galleries and lovely restaurants; the village has two restaurants run by celebrity chef Nathan Outlaw.
The apartment is elegant and spacious with vaulted ceilings throughout, skylights and the end wall of the open plan sitting room is almost all glass with a Juliet balcony; enjoying views down Fore Street, along the valley, to the headland towards Lobber Point and into the bustling harbour. There are two bedrooms one has Zip and Link twin beds, which can be transformed to provide a spacious Super King bed and a further bedroom containing a double bed.
A vibrant working harbour on the North Cornwall coast, Port Isaac has so much to see and do and all accessible from your doorstep at Gully Lofts. Keen walkers will enjoy the spectacular south west coast path within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which runs out of the village on either side and can prove quite a challenge with steep tracks following the cliffs up and down. Walkers will be well rewarded with sightings of skylarks, cormorants, oyster catchers, kestrels, seals, peregrine falcons and even dolphins are sometimes spotted and very occasionally if there's plankton around, the enormous dark shapes of feeding basking sharks can be spotted from the cliff top. Nearby Port Gaverne offers wild swimming and kayaking in its sheltered cove, or you can venture 10 minutes in the car to the surf beach of Polzeath, the sailing & watersport hub of Rock, or simply take it easy on the child-friendly beach at Daymer Bay, cooling off with an occasional dip in the clear blue bathing waters.
