Originally a coastguard cottage, this charming whitewashed holiday house enjoys a superb location above the coastal footpath with magnificent, panoramic sea and coastal views from most rooms. A short walk from both Port Isaac's historic harbour and the shingle cove at Port Gaverne, Coastguard Cottage has an 'infinity' garden and parking for two cars, thereby offering a convenient and attractive place to stay for 5/6 people in 3 bedrooms.
Generous sash windows make for a light interior, enhancing the comfy furnishings of the attractive living areas. A wood burner and open fire ensure a cosy stay even in the wildest of weathers. Two of the bedrooms boast king size beds and the single bed has a pull out bed for the 6th guest; all 3 bedrooms share a stylish bathroom with overhead shower.
In a tranquil, tucked away position, this cottage is only a 5 minute walk from the beautiful old village centre with its winding, narrow streets edged with characterful old fisherman's cottages. Quirky gift shops and art galleries provide a spot of retail therapy, while a delicious cream tea can be enjoyed at any one of the cafes or restaurants. Take the children onto the beach at low tide to explore the rock pools and the harbour wall, or head over to Port Gaverne with a wetsuit for a refreshing dip in the sea or a paddle. A short drive away lies the surf haven of Polzeath, the bucket and spade bathing beach at Daymer Bay or the watersport hub of Rock, where you can also catch the foot ferry over to Padstow.
