The Lawns is the epitome of a coastal family retreat; a clifftop property set on the Terrace with unsurpassed sea views from the front of the house on each level. Accessed via New Road, this self catering holiday home sleeps 10 guests in 5 freshly decorated bedrooms each with a bathroom and gives the property flexible options for guests, larger families or a group of friends wishing to share. With unspoilt and panoramic views out to sea and towards Tintagel, this is an idyllic property for a truly unforgettable seaside holiday on the North Cornwall coast.
With a contemporary relaxed sea-side feel, The Lawns offers light and spacious accommodation throughout with five bedrooms spread across the first and second floors, one of which is accessed at the rear of the property through the designated TV area. The open plan ground floor is a dynamic space for all the family to congregate and the main social hub of the house. The modern kitchen has been designed to cater for families or a large group with enough equipment for those budding chefs to cook up that unforgettable masterpiece. Slide open the bi fold doors and extend the dining area out onto the spacious glazed terrace where you can sit in the sun and plan the day. You can admire the stunning sea views from each level and you won't find a better spot from which to enjoy an evening sundowner and the most magnificent sunsets. The terrace found at the rear of the property is a great, sheltered space where you can sink into a chair and unwind with a book after an energetic day exploring the coast.
Take a wander around the village to discover interesting shops, cafes and art galleries plus a great choice of eating out from fine dining restaurants to fish and chips. Fabulous coastal paths can take you in either direction to explore this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. If anyone fancies a surf, take a day to visit nearby Polzeath where there's also a parade of shops selling beach goods and surf fashion. Located just a stones throw from The Lawns is a number of eateries to choose from; Restaurant Nathan Outlaw with jaw-dropping sea and coastal views to admire while trying some on Nathan’s specialities, The Port Gaverne Hotel and Pichards café to name a few. The pretty coastal village of Port Isaac has many stories where historically, it was run as a busy fishing port and from the Middle Ages to the mid-19th century, it was an active harbour where cargoes like stone, coal, timber and pottery were loaded and unloaded not forgetting the fishing and fish processing which still happens there today. In recent years, the village is internationally known for its close association with the television series ‘Doc Martin’, ‘Poldark’ and of course the home of the sea shanty singers the Fishermans Friends who still perform at home on occasions during the summer.
