New for 2017 - Myth Cottage in Rock
Tucked away in a peaceful cul-de-sac near the top of Rock Road, Myth Cottage is a picture perfect coastal retreat. Stylishly decorated throughout, with meticulous attention to detail, this newly built detached property has been transformed to create a luxury holiday home-from-home by the sea. This self-catering holiday cottage sleeps 6 guests in 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms, with the option of a king size sofa bed in the study to accommodate 2 more guests. This elegant cottage is centrally located to enjoy some of Cornwall's finest harbour towns including Padstow and Port Isaac, and the most beautiful golden sand beaches including Rock, Polzeath and Daymer Bay.
The stable door ushers you into a home with an instantly welcoming ambiance. Step into a light and spacious fully fitted kitchen, well equipped with everything you could need to enjoy some Cornish inspired self-catering. A bleached oak dining table next door in the dining room / orangery is perfect for a light lunch or candlelit dinner. A leather sofa and club chairs entice you to linger afterwards, or you could open up the french doors and head outdoors into the attractive enclosed garden, with its stone terrace and grassed lawn, to enjoy evening drinks as dusk falls. Lead on into the sitting room and sink into the comfortable sofas after a day beside the sea, play a family board game or relax in front of the log burner with a favourite film. A separate study provides a dedicated work space for those that need it, as well as a sofa bed for extra guests. Upstairs, the three bedrooms and family bathroom offer a contemporary holiday haven. To the front of the house the master suite with a king size bed and ensuite shower room continues the palette of sophisticated blues and soft greys. The king size double bedroom set in the rear of the house has pretty far-reaching countryside views and shares the family bathroom with the remaining twin bedroom.
Head out for a stroll through Rock, with it's many shops, restaurants and pubs that lead straight to the Camel Estuary and seaside adventures. Scenic coastal walks are all around with each new route promising better views, so definitely pack your walking boots. For sailing, power boating and water-skiing head to the Rock Sailing Club or the Camel Sailing and Powerboat Centre. At Rock you can also catch the ferry across to Padstow to explore this vibrant harbour town and it's many fine restaurants including Rick Stein's and Paul Ainsworth. In the evenings catch the water taxi home against a backdrop of twinkling lights. Golf enthusiasts can enjoy The St Enodoc Golf Club or The Point at Polzeath Golf Club, both within walking distance from Myth Cottage. For some pampering head to the spa's at St Enodoc Hotel or The Point at Polzeath for some me-time. Surfers and paddle boarders will prefer Polzeath beach further around the headland where Atlantic swells produce some of Britain's best waves. Just 10 minutes up the road is the picturesque village of Port Isaac, home to the Doc Martin TV series, the Fisherman's Friends and a working harbour. Take time out to eat a bag of fish and chips on the harbour wall as the sun sinks below the horizon - you won't regret it!
