Changes for 2021 - St Minver Cottage is undergoing some interior decoration including a new kitchen and converting the Aga to electric. Professional photos will follow in the early Spring of 2021.
St Minver Cottage is a picture-perfect cottage with immense charm and character in an idyllic setting, an ideal base for a small family or group to explore the best of north Cornwall. This traditional cottage in St Minver can cater for up to six guests in three beautifully decorated bedrooms set over the first and upper floors. Enjoy lazy evenings on the sheltered terrace to the front of the cottage boarded by mature trees and shrubs.
This beautifully presented and well-proportioned three bedroom cottage is the definition of a charming, rural bolthole. With a calm colour palette throughout, St Minver Cottage offers spacious social living with an open plan well equipped kitchen/diner that leads into a separate, cosy living room where you can cuddle up beside the fire after an energetic day on the coast. For those warmer evenings, dine alfresco on the sheltered terrace across from the cottage, the perfect place to relax and listen to the birds whilst enjoy some Cornish produce. Upstairs are three cosy bedrooms. The master bedroom is beautifully decorated with exposed beams looking out through sash windows out into the woodland. The further two bedrooms are split over the first lower and upper floors along with the large family bathroom.
At St Minver Cottage, you can fully immerse yourself in the peaceful Cornish lifestyle whilst remaining a step away from the hustle and bustle of Rock and Polzeath. Situated near the entrance of St Menefreda’s Church, famous for its tall and slightly crooked spire. For nearby refreshments, The Fourways Inn is just a few minutes walk where you can enjoy some fine Cornish ale and traditional delicacies in comfort or a ten to fifteen minute walk to the Pityme Inn serving delicious Sunday carveries. Keen walkers can take advantage of the myriad of footpaths that traverse through the fields and towards the water. Sea angling and boat chartering are wonderful ways to really get to know the estuary and experience the thrill of the Doom Bar as the calm, sheltered estuary waters steadily meet the open sea. A quick 5-minute drive away lies the busy surf beach of Polzeath and for families the gentle shallow waters and golden sands of Daymer bay are closer still. On blustery autumn days Daymer transforms itself into a windsurfer's paradise with kite surfing also becoming increasingly popular.
